My wife and I will be at the show on Sunday and may be able to meet for drinks afterwards.
A couple of friends will also be at the show and there was some talk of us getting together so I can't commit to anything right now but we'll see.
I will look for Sheila's balloon before the show. Maybe one of you could PM me a cell phone number as well.

Hi Richard,
Bring your friends along to Lucy Mae Brown for a drink after the show (there's nowhere else open anyway!)
I'll PM you with my cell phone #, but, as you said, look out for the balloon

Wonderful, wonderful!
I'm not big on cells, but I may top it up for this occasion tomorrow, then forward the number on to those that responded. The more the merrier! Thanks for all you've done, Sheila, and thanks to those that replied. I really hope there's a HUGE crowd around Sheila's balloon! Maybe we'll make the Province, or something nifty like that.
See you all at GM Place and then at Lucy Mae Brown's. I can't help but think that Lucy Mae's sounds like a place Leonard would appreciate.

Hi Sheila,
Balloon is a great idea! I may borrow your idea for Detroit and will make sure you are given the credit

Seems a perfect way for everyone to know where you're located as it definitely stands out in a crowd! Thanks, and enjoy an awesome concert tonight! I'm with you in spirit!
All the best,
Diana

Hi All,
Wittycat,
I just PM'd you my cell.
Lady Di,
Glad you're utilizing the balloon... (I'm sure it's not an original idea, so no credit due

) I hope they let me in with it... I probably shouldn't take it into the concert, it might annoy other people. I'll play it by ear.

My boyfriend and I may or may not show up for post-show drinks. I've already dragged him to Vancouver and to a concert for
my favourite musician on
his birthday, but depending how exhausted we are (I have to drive back to Seattle tonight after the concert), but that restaurant sounds rather nice...
We don't have a cell phone, so if we do show up, we'll introduce ourselves then
I'm so excited for this show, I could explode.

Enjoy each other in the moments you're able. They go all too fast. I KNOW you'll enjoy Leonard and his band, as you'll be all settled in your seats by then.
YaY~!!! Another night of bliss about to happen in our world

.
I'm very interested to hear how the helium balloon goes, Sheila. Great idea to bring here

, no matter its original occurrence. Diana ~ you're in charge of the printing and helium

. I'll hold it whilst you drive, lest it float about and in to your face or blocks your rear view mirror. They have an uncanny way of exploring the interior of your car as you try to drive.

Balloon-writing tip!
You can use a felt pen, but NOT the kind that you hear the little metal ball when you shake it. It will eat the balloon. I got 2 helium-filled balloons (they're dirt cheap) just in case one explodes with excitement before I get there

Thanks for the tip (ar-ar), Sheila! I'll make sure to check out the pen first. I think after we've all met, I'll either scare the heck out of everybody and pop the balloon, or leave it in the ladies restroom
And okay Lizzy! You will be in charge of the balloon-holding detail while we drive downtown!
I'm just SO excited for all of you in Vancouver tonight! Have a great time! Silly, how could you not...
All the best,
Diana

Hey guys!
I'm so glad there was some response to a mini-meet-up!! Whoo-eee! I'm just getting ready - was hoping for a 'summer type' affair, but it looks like a typical Vancouver early spring day -
Look for a tall woman in a red coat, if you pop your balloon too soon, Sheila! I'll be hangin' in the pre-sale line. Let's hope it doesn't start pouring.
See you all. And wittykat, if we'd made a reservation in 'Lenny', maybe 'Lenny' may have thought to show up??? hmm....?
Hope to meet you all there!
Linda.
PS: at almost $10 for a 'small' plastic cup of 'beer' at GM, I think I'd certainly be up for a drink or two!

Hello Vartan!
I saw your post in the other thread, and will reply there also, but I must say, I too had my doubts as to whether or not you would actually show up here!!!
Thanks so much for hanging out (in the purest sense of the word) with us, and for the lift over. I think they (Lucy Mae's) would have stayed open all night for us.
Best of everything, and hope all goes well. I know that some people have done several Leonard concerts in a row, but I have to say, I think this is the one, and the only one I want to see. Like seeing a glimpse of a beautiful jewel but once, I can keep it forever shiny and polished in my mind. It may take on even greater beauty with the passage of time, and memories only fond. All of you that I met thru this site, and this concert have a place in that place of 'perfection' - my little house of memories. The good ones. Thanks all! And wowza, thank you Leonard!!!
Linda.
