Hey Cate,
Just thought I'd let you know, I'm having great fun with this contest. This morning they mixed it up and played Bird On a Wire by Jennifer Warnes. Another morning they played two LC songs in the same show.
I read somewhere that it takes at least 2 weeks for people to change/create a habit. By running this contest for 2 weeks, CBC is likely creating lots of new listener loyalty. (I'm not a newbie – everything I know about classical music, granted not a helluva lot – I learned from CBC)
Hope you're playing Cate!

There is definitely more than one LC song per day. One in the the morning and one in the afternoon. You can enter up to twice a day.
Cheers!

Three songs this morning! By the end of the week Leonard may well have taken over the whole program!

Hi Mollydog,
I heard Everybody Knows 3 times this morning – thought something was wrong with my computer!
Did you hear the same thing 3 separate times as well?
Hi Martensg,
I submit an entry every time I hear an LC song; so so far today that's been 3 times.

I keep forgetting

either I don't listen at the right time or if I'm in the car and hear one I forget to enter.
I have gotten about 5 though and you only need 1 to win so that's all right.
Thank you Dream Warrior for the information about the other contest - I haven't entered yet but I'm tempted.

So, Tom Allen, the host of the morning show on CBC radio2 is introducing a tune, "Oh look," he says, "A Leonard Cohen song." Like he doesn't know we're all waiting with bated breath. The guy cracks me up.
Unfortunately, i was on the hour long ride home from work and forgot which one he played! You gott laugh.

Thank you, ImaginaryFriend (though doesn't seem so imaginary right now)
I THOUGHT it might be Sisters of Mercy, but wasn't sure enough to enter.
Good luck to you too!

Darn, I didn't win. Some lucky person in Surrey B.C. Guess I'd better unpack my suitcase!

I've got to start listening to Radio 2 I guess, but I'm a Radio 1 addict. They played Everybody Knows on As it Happens tonight ... .
Has anyone from the forum won a ticket yet on the Radio 2 contest?

Hi Paula,
The contest ended on Sunday and there was just one winner. The Cohen extravaganza began today - check it out on the Radio 2 website:

(Radio 2 Morning with Tom Allen is a great way to start your day!)

It was Marilyn Raymond of BC.
