Okay, Minna, I'll try... it's a real Brooklyn epitaph (a city borough a good portion of which you might not want to visit should you come here)...

"END OF THE LINE"

"Blank Blank [the guy's name] lies here on the lousiest stop of the lousiest (F) train in New York *uckin' Lousy City 'cause his lousy girlfriend split right on this lousy spot."

You know, this is a lot more impressive, I mean to actually be buried at such a location, as opposed to having those sad little bouquets of flowers 'n such where such fatalities happen... v.

[...note how this particular epitaph has a nice self referential literary association as well...][as for these edits -- I can't believe I actually called Brooklyn a suburb!?... too much death, I guess...

... as per I.F.'s comment in The knowing in these lines thread...

"HOT TODDY"

"Never spoke to a living soul, may he now speak his peace."

(Much later note): Imaginary Friend, I just read the posts of this guy in that Dear Heather's section, or whatever it is... NOW I know what you're talking about, and so some editing of his epitaph is definitely in order... 'course, now I'm in a rhyming mood, given Lord M's epithingy thread...

"HOT TODDY"

"Probably not a hotty, never shutty uppie,
just look at that damn threadie, you'll
know why he is deadie."

Lord Michael, sir, I'm still fanning myself over the enormity (in every respect) of your, uh, entry here... why the shear height, width, etc. of the stone itself is likely to be -- actually, there's a dream that Jung had once (Freud's nemesis, of course), it was subterranean and yet the height of this, well, worm -- no, phallus like entity was like fifty feet tall (I don't know what that is in Brit terms, but it's damn big, Mr.)...

... okay, I feel I have to recover a bit here... perhaps I'll come later (now that was a horrible horrible pun)...

withering,

Violet

[0h, hi, Minna... no problem!] [...as to the edit, I thought I'd get that penis in here...] [I was referring to the quote, by the way -- that's another edit...]

... I should say "sheer size, let alone dexterity," but I won't say any more than that... okay I will: you've come a long way since that soft side of your gun, My Noblest Lord and Master...

fainting now, Violet

(... actually, too bad it took, well, your death to point this out...)

how can you write a good poem or discuss the size of a good penis if you don't understand meter?

Gee, and I was about to lay on you this one:

... When next I come to the land of you Britains, is seems you'll have to educate me... v. (strictly metrically speaking, of course...)

death is what I do, all day and some evenings as well. I have little to offer in the way of life. anyone who has met me will confirm that I am seriously dull. it would spoil your entire visit to meet me and I advise against it. all I ever want is a song (and I know exactly which one)

... are you dirging me again?... v.

...oh, and thanks Minna, I'm glad I get at least some appreciation around here...[as to these edits, I'm still trying to get the hang of the "quoting" system around here... and the quote within a quote, now that's going to take some doing... oh, Lord M... your dexterity with quoting alone is enough to commend you... God only knows what your other skills may be... ]

:) Oh, no.. these puns. I feel so born again, I'll never be able to hear the pure words without Violeting them in my mind...
yes, Violet has shocked us all in this genteel community.

Is your name is a pun as well, is that how they spell Manna in Finland?
