This ticket monoplisation is criminal. I was lucky enough to get front row seats via Ticketmaster at the normal price for the July 17th concert, an impossibilty now unless you want to pay through the nose.

Many thanks to Jarkko for sorting this out. Delighted with tickets in A2 - back in July I had to be content with tickets in 413 although I was on-line with Ticketmaster from the moment that booking opened.

Yes, it's 9.57 AM, and Block A2 row D seats 20-21 are available on Ticket Exchange for £799.97 the pair. I hope that Ticketmaster soon get fully exposed in the press for their outrageous practices.

Thank you Jarkko! A2, Row W are much MUCH better floor seats than C1, which is what Ticketmaster are currently offering on general sale.
If anybody wants to try, Ticketmaster have an auction for A2, Row B, starting at £90.00 per ticket:
http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/auction/1 ... 7DF5885/1/
At the Trafalgar Tavern in July, a forum member told me he got tickets, by a Ticketmaster auction, at or around face value. So if few people bid, then the price stays at £90 per ticket. Who knows. . !?

Hi yhtrownu,
Nobody in their right minds, would put a penny in Ticketmaster's direction, other than as some desperate last resort!
Cheers, John E

Let's be honest here....
Whilst the gesture from AEG Live is appreciated, they have hardly offered anything that could be described as superb tickets for these UK arena venues.
Row W on a flat floor in the giant abattoir that is The O2 Arena?
Gee, thanks.....

Maybe we were very unlucky but ..
For the July 17 concert, I was "lucky" enough to get seats in row T of a A3 when the show first went on sale at Ticketmaster. However, when the time came, we discovered we were surrounded by people with hospitality tickets, many of whom did not seem remotely interested in the show, only in drinking their £300 or whatever it was worth of hospitality booze. They were late in to the concert from the hospitality area and you could not see them for dust before the intermission, for the same reason. One woman was so paralytic before the show she was alternately jumping up and down out of control or unconscious in her seat.
This time round I've gone for lower tier tickets. I want to be surrounded by "real" fans, ie people who are going to the show because they want to see and hear Leonard, not for any other reason.

Hi mabeanie,
This unfortunately is the other great evil of modern concerts - it's a lottery regarding who's sitting next to you. Between 1970 and
1993 you would rarely see these sort of people at concerts, and least of all at a Leonard concert.
All the best, John E

I ordered four tickets as you recommended. I'll be coming from abroad with my wife (it's my birthday), so I hope it is worthwhile. We have followed his career for almost forty years (I first heard his songs in the late sixties) and were lucky enough to meet and speak to this remarkable man (back in 1984). The last time I heard him in concert was round about 1973, so it's been a long wait.

Does anyone know what the view etc is like in row 101 near the back. Is it quite good and is the sound good or is it better to opt for the back rows A3?

Hi
Just wanted to say that I've managed to book tickets for Manchester thanks to this Forum. Saw him in Dublin in June and just have to see him again. And if he does manage to come back to Dublin in December I'll make sure I'm there too!!!
Thanks
