all I had better share about the current trial is that a juror is sick today so " a day off".

now, here's a thought. I wonder how many of us here can deal easily with an unexpected day off. the ones that can are cooool, respect and kudos etc. any others who don't deal with unexpected "gifts" so smoothly? any who think, "yeah, a day off is all very well but if only it was a week, or a month, or a year, I could finally do/finish/enjoy.....".

here's to the Next Life where I have every intention of slowing down, (possibly)

At my age, it does take a little time to get in the mood.
But after that, to be perfectly honest with you, it doesn't take long at all.

For my part (dum Duh dum dum - Dragnet theme)
it has been brought to my attention
--by someone incapable of writing my way himself, and therefore obviously envious,
-- that I am extraordinarily capable of writing long boring posts.

This is intentional on my part. I read somewhere that all great works of art
-- such as I hope to become someday -- need these long boring
passages in them, so that the good parts stick out like glades.

Just think of any Russian novel. Or of how ordinary the Easter
bunny would be without The Passion of the Christ behind it.
Or of how people wear clothes to hide their goals.

In any case, like the face, I don't have to look at mine.
And I don't usually read my posts. But when I do, I know
I must apologize to those who do. And then I am inclined
to delete them all (--the posts, the readers, or both)
--in order to stop the suffering. And the only reason
I don't is that I have never liked it when other people
delete theirs.

If I am duller than usual (--or just as usual, only more persistently so)
it may be, in part, because I have been following the tour-reports,
more and more, and so I'm feeling more and more sorry for myself.

Not that I have had any great desire to see any
concert in a long time. Nor do I have any great desire
to see Leonard Cohen either. But I know that it would
be lovely to be in one of these crowds that has finally
been giving him the kind of response that he has so
richly deserved for so very long a time. The whole thing
is reminding me of nothing so much as the song "oh happy day".
And I am certain that to be in one of these crowds must feel
just like it felt to be in Paris in August of 1944.
Or like whenever Barnet loses.

Thanks - Master. Yeah Turkey was the better team and we were the lucky ones. Once again. Counting all European and World Championships Germany made it into 19 Semi-Finals, 14 Finals and won 6 titles while England has a record of 2 Semifinals, 1 Final and 1 Title (with a little help by a Russian Linesman). Life is unfair. On the other hand you are always surrounded by the women at the Cohen gatherings while I have to hang out with Liverpoolken. Would you ever want to swap sides with me ? I am sure you won't.

Seems to me the ladies are all here.

From Michael's swishy "La Di Dah",
to Henning's demure "Doo Dum Dum" response (addressed to "Master" no less!),
-now add Liverpoolken's effete "Ta".
