Hi Partisan
In some cases, true. Not always. Library and bookstores would be filled with poems only, no prose and/or short stories only, no novels. However,
varieties of expression are allowed people in the world of print communication for a reason. They're allowed here for that very same reason. Amazing, eh?
Analyzing the words of others may not be a necessary thing; however, for me it's part of who I am. Dovetail that with the fact that, in these arenas, words are our sole source of trying to understand another person. The expressive-print options [including Emoticons] add to "hearing"/"seeing" how the other person sounds/looks as they speak, so more verbal/non-verbal clues are given with my reading others, as well as their reading me.
Hope your day is going well, Partisan

To ALL:
I sincerely hope this forum does not become a hang-out for the refugees from Various Positions. But I'm afraid this particular nightmare is already in progress.

I am trying to use fair judgement of this board, but quite frankly so far I prefer the old board. Mainly because this is so much like all the other message boards out there, and the old seemed more unique and fit the Leonard Cohen files better. But there is a but, I haven't been a member that long and perhaps the old was getting old for some. Any how I loved the old board.

Hi Mr. Ed and Partisan
I hope your day is going well. So, how is it that you feel about Leonard and his work? That is your reason for being here, right?
Lizzytysh
Isn't acerbity

synonymous with sophisticated? Or is it acrimonious

that is?

Here is Tom. I'm shocked. It seems to me that the old board was easier. I must learn. I liked those old colours.
I guess I need just some time...
Hy everybody
There is edit function for the members. I just corrected my mistakes, as always:-)

Why the age thirteen to join this site? My son, who is twelve wanted to join. As he says he has all the cds, lots of bootlegs including the legendary basement recordings. (I didn't tell him wrong singer). But still why any age requirement.

I've been meaning to thank you, Jarkko, for the private "Inbox" feature here for emailing each other privately, without having to go to our own personal emails, unless by choice. It's worked out really well and I was so surprized to see it...however, most things on the Internet are likely to do that with me, anyway. Nonetheless, if it was an option, or whether it just came with the package, thanks!
