"Some enchanted evenining.
some enchanted evening
you may meet a stranger..."
Mat,
It's actually "...you may SEE a stranger..."

Daka old chap,
if you look, you'll see that misprint is simply carried over from the original quotation (SIC)
Now who's sic(k) as the proverbial football parrot?
"Watch without watching for something
Look from the invisible at what you cannot grasp as an entity
To see and yet to see no things
Is freedom in and through yourself.........Tilopa"
Is this the lyric of some Italian pop-song, badly translated?
Yours benevolently,
William

Thanks for the editing advice Willy.

Hmm. Unfortunate, as I find 'meet a stranger' to be far more 'enchanting'. We all 'see' strangers and it's not often 'enchanting'. Could you get someone to please rewrite that song. Tks.
Love the poem - so rife with 'bluesy emotions'.

I have resurrected this poem of mine and dusted it off and offer it again for timely reflection.

I remember this wind-up, no surprise you have resurrected it close to April Fool's Day. Incidentally, does anyone know if William is still dead?
today I am entering a Freestyle 200 metre ironing event. Wish me luck

Still dead! lol.
Maybe he resurrected.
Having the international fools day in the same week as the celebration of the resurrection, makes a lot of sense to me now

I'm a Buddhist
And I'm sure
William's been reborn
When we find him
We will see
A sheep that has been
Shorn

Little Willie
was like one of those tiny banana
which you get in Havana
or is that a cigar ?
anyway I don't think Willy has gone far
Marisha
I know the poem is not up to much but a good banana always excites me and inspires me to compose true poetry

are you some kind of religious crackpot? just asking. i am not down here in the dregs of the forum any more, but have elevated myself to loftier heights. to any fans of mine: you can find me entertaining the troops higher up. i don't remember what column it is, though. i just find there's a better class of people up there, that's all.

I think I might be, Geoffrey; but I haven't worked out which type yet.
I am pleased to see that my deeply sensitive and empathetic musings on some tribal outcast inspire such wrathfully rapturous responses.
