Here's another Dutchy who will be at the Westerpark. I hoped he'd perform at Carre or something, because the acoustics in that building are incredible. I'll try to be there very early, which shouldn't be a problem since I live 100 meters from the park

. For outsiders: it's a great park, very friendly, and you can bring a BBQ

.
R.E.M., Massive Attack, and Radiohead a.o. will also perform in that period, so I hope for some sunny weeks.

I hope I can go the concert on July 12th in the Westergasfabriek, Westerpark in Amsterdam. I just visited the website from the Westergasfabriek read all the information. Ticketsale will start March 15th. Are there any other forummembers going to the concert that day? If so, I hope to see you there.
Concertinformation at:

Hi Sam,
I am Dutch and I will translate it for you: "Rang 1" means first circle (should be read as "the best places"). Since the Amsterdam concert is a open air concert there is only one circle. "Excl. servicekosten" means "administration costs are not included in the price mentioned". This means that the price for a ticket is more then 59 euro's (usually + 10%).
"Normaal" means "standard". "Verzekered" I am not really sure how it should be interpreted. My best guess is that should be translated as "Guaranteed" . This term is referring to a specific seat or so. But because there are no seats on an open air concert this term has no meaning. "Rolstoelplaats" means a place for people with a wheelchair. Does this explanation make sense to you?

'Verzekering' / Insurance in this case is really not necessary. It just means that when you're all of a sudden pregnant, you can get your money back. Or dead. Or your car was stolen which you needed to drive to the concert. Or when your marriage went seriously downhill.
So unless you expect something like that to happen, don't use insurance. Waste of money. The 2,50 will buy you a beer instead

.
I read that approximately 15000 people can fit in the Westerpark ...
