Hello Heretic. How precognitive of you. Or have you already heard the broadcast?
Byron 'sends his regards'.

Ciao Lizzytysh,
Splendid thoughts you have on the world situation. You have a profound grasp of World Events. And American politics. So in the know.
Did you ever find out where Estonia is located?

Not yet, Vesuvius ~ that's why I asked

. Not being from that part of the world, I would not expect to know every, small country [as it sounds to be ~ I may be wrong in that, of course]. Perhaps
you could look it up

and tell me. Never have I put myself under the pressure to know "everything." I also know that if you have too much false pride, so as not to ask questions, you'll learn little

.

The only thing that I would say is that there is only one country in the Middle East known to have WMD (and be able to use them in 45 minutes President Blair) and that is Israel.
On the subject of GWB I would heartily recommend people to listen to this (Please bear in mind that the BBC, rather than being neutral, is very anti President Blair)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/fivelive ... ?flreport3 It makes me wonder, people spend decades fighting for their rights and then they get taken away by religious fundamentalists - it adds another layer to the case of Amina Lawal

I thought you had announced that you had departed into the lake of fire looking for Partisan and Starfish?
Did you find them there then?
Regards...........Georges

George,
You truely have the soul of a poet so do not sully it with ill-chosen words to Heretic. I look forward to new poems from you.

Byron, i will take your silence as an admission of my veracity before.
A grand conspiracy with Kenneth Clarke on the steering committee.
I never realised that my powers of precognition were so great.

...... if that BBC 'editorial', recommended by JohnTheShorts above, on "the real Bush" with shoot-from-the-hip comments about all the "non-intellectual" Republicans, represents even run-of-the-mill analysis, then BBC is indeed an anti-American buffoon. Could these BBC radio reports be a joke? fit for a Saturday Night Live skit?
The left had a Rhodes scholar in Billy Clinton, but all that 'intelligence' did not do him/us any good since he had to let the polls tell him every morning as to action to be taken that day.... If Bush's predecessor had done his job, may be we would not now have to fight extremist-muslims....
at least in W we have a man of action, not of hand-wringing, politically-correct, all-talk-no-action pin-up boy.
WMD or not, regimes where radical fundamentalists have/will have safe harbor must be changed before they change one western country after another (France already has 10% muslim population, but they deserve it since they were the incubator for extremist Khomeiney in the 1970s). If we had elected Al Bore, may be he would hugged them all to death.... hehehehe

Talking about anti-American feelings...
Marcel -
is it anti-American to tell the truth about a liar who happens to reside on Pennsylvania Ave?
BBC ain't more anti-American than Norman Mailer or many other Americans in this respect.
Al might have been a bore, and he didn't invent the internet, I agree, but George...
The president had to admit he lied. Even the CIA didn't back him up.
Does anyone know the term "impeachment"?
Tricky Dick was honest enough to quit when his lies had been discovered.
Tom
PS: I respect your opinion, and please voice it. We simply disagree - and that's it...

I am not aware of W admitting a "lie"... when, where did he say that?... the White House has admitted that the 16 words should not have been included..... but the War was authorized by Congress months BEFORE those words were spoken!
Nixon, yes, had the decency to resign over a lie about a second-rate burglary of the Democrats' campaign offices.... bid deal! he did NOT lie in court like what's-his-name Slick Willy who committed perjury and did not care about his reputation or his family, only about staying in power.
BBC, like its counterpart in the US, PBS withy partial public funding has no business being virulently anti-Blair and anti-Republican..... if you listen to the BBC radio broadcasts referenced in this thread, you have to shake your head and laugh, the commentaries are simply perfunctory and ridiculous... during the Irak war one of their own reporters complained publicly about the blatant "bias" at the BBC...
Mailer, as our Chicago-based Studs Terkel, are remnants of communist ideology, long buried and forgotten; it's a wonder they still have any audience. I wonder if they are in Cuba this week, helping Castro celebrate 50 years of his first failed coup attempt...? talk about anachronisms!
But nobody tops the "lies", folkore and generalized pabulum out of the Kennedy clan..... subject for another day!
