nope, I didn't. I only know that my sister sent it to me, and that I enjoyed reading a few of the Darwin Awards once. Can't remember how long ago. post-teenage days, tho.

of people find that appropriate dietary fiber, exercise, sufficient water intake,
and emotional wellness goes a long way towards unblocking. Blocks or remedies for them,
should be addressed with one's personal physician. By the way, the root of
"physician," I understand is "physic" -- having to do with enemas.

Some practical suggestions for surmounting your writer's block -
1. Go for a run around the.............
2. Listen to Ian Drury
3. Think and then write about your ancestors. You may be a chip off the old......
4. Read 'A diet of treacle' by someone who seems to have been there.

there is a story a friend reminded me of when i asked about the same thing. it did help a little...

there is a story in the book zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance by robert persig about someone wanting to write about a building or something like that...but he or she (i can't remember which...) is stumped so her professor tells her to focus on a brick i think. its been years since i've read the book so i can't remember well. but my friend summed it up best by saying, "the moral of the story is to narrow it down, if you're too broad then you're overwhelmed with all the possibilities that you could write about, that you get caught not being able to decide on anything."

and i know for the guitar...i get stumped sometimes. then i find myself in moods where i'm not wanting to play it as often. of course i keep at it. even if i'm not in the mood i'll make myself practice and soon enough i find myself having fun again. of course its a roller coaster and i accept the ups with the downs. but if you're in downtime and are wanting to do something about it...i think there is an effort to be made in whatever way you like to be creative. it is something you have to cultivate. just make yourself do it. with the guitar i just keep at it...and soon enough i have a handful of riffs i like and if i'm lucky enough...some of those riffs will get played together...complimenting eachother in a way that is exciting for me and i find myself with a new song.
