Diane? Are you insinuating something here that I wasn't on the train? Doesn't this photo that I took prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that I walked up the mountain?
There are no photos of me on the train therefore I was not on the train Q.E.D.

The reason that none of you walkers saw me was that I walked up another route - the danger red route whilst you lot took the lily white route.

Yours, trustingly

That's true. You came up the wrong route, with your slippers on by the looks of things, and tried to sneak upstairs without anyone noticing. But Linda saw you.

Linda! You found your way here, excellent. You heard Pete Joe and Henning singing LC songs before you heard the man himself. I must say, he is even better than them.

Pete I just couldn't resist that pic, sorry. I don't even know who took it. I asked someone to take pics with my camera and he was snapping away.

I have banned myself from the computer for the weekend. Not doing very well so far.

Slippers??? How dare you! They were my my brand new sandals to make me look trendy and not once did anyone say to me, 'Pete, you look very trendy in your sandals'. I climbed the dangerous red route in sandals but do confess to having to use the escalator for the final push to the summit as you rightly show in the photo.

yours, not so trustingly as before

Phil, I think we will have to be sent to a computer-free island, or at least remove a vital part of the computer's innards and stamp on it. This isn't working.

Yes, thanks Henning for those posters and cards. I have a poster now of my fave LC photo from the Tour in black and white. Ken didn't give me any cds, but then he does think I have dubious taste in music 8) . (I think they are both in Barcelona, with most of the people from our walking group.) Tinds when are you leaving for Spain?

Linda was saying at the time, "Look at that man with the incredibly trendy slippers on. Looks a bit like our Pete."
