Cool! Halifax, West Yorkshire? My home town. Famous for being the town where the inventor of the cat's eyes came from, and possibly to become even more famous for being the place where Leonard Cohen played his last concert.
I could stay at my mum's and perhaps Leonard might like to pop back later for some dock pudding and a brew.
My second guess would be (since no one named it yet from what I can see and knowing AEG is running the tour) Atlantic City NJ at the Boardwalk Hall (original home of the Miss America pagent and current venue for most major concerts in town). Atlantic City is one of the top tourist spots in America, is central to the big 3 major east coast cities (NYC, Philadelphia, Washington DC), has it's own airport, and all the motels hotels/casinos would make it very easy for eveyone to get rooms and find other things to do while in town.

My second guess, and of course, dearest to my heart, is Ann Arbor MI. Leonard was here on his '93 tour at a small venue. We have a MUCH larger venue available at the UofM and lots of room for everyone from the US, Canada, and the world! It is also very beautiful in the autumn! Dino's sister lives in Ann Arbor, and you have me, Marie, donalagata and tons of fans who were at the Detroit concert close by! Of course it won't happen but it's a nice dream....perhaps the second to the last concert....????

Disclaimer: I know I already broke the rules. I am not eligible to win a prize. But I am having fun while I wait IMPATIENTLY for the final leg of the tour to be announced.
Here is the result of my scientific investigation for the last concert of the tour.
First, I morphed the North American tour venues of Springsteen, Dylan and a few others and came up with a common list of candidates. Then I researched each city's concert scene for a suitable location, concentrating on cities in the southeastern US. I eliminated all cities where a concert took place in an outdoor sports stadium. Personal bias, I also eliminated Hockey arenas - love to go to NHL Hockey games, but not to cultural events. Then I eliminated cities with nice concert theaters but small seating capacity.
And the winner is:
Memphis, Tennessee
Orpheum Theater
The auditorium, which seats 2,371, is decorated in shades of gold, red and cream, and includes a huge stage, orchestra pit (to be covered for our Pit seats), balcony and domed ceiling. The grand lobby has twin staircases, enormous crystal chandeliers and gilded plasterwork. The Orpheum Theater also has smaller lobby spaces to the sides of the grand lobby - perfect for our LC Forum early entry, to meet the band and shop at the Merch stand.
This historical theater setting would have a similar buzz to the opening US concert at the Beacon.
And last, but not least....A new extremely large women's restroom was added to the lower lounge during the early 1990's.

Jarkko,
I vote for Arlene's choice of the Orpheum mainly for the above reason! We all know what a problem it can become during intermission .

My living room, of course, and Charlie Webb could hold my hand again as she did in Minneapolis.
Be still my heart at the thought.
.... But it was me Charley waved her hand to when the whole entourage drove into the arena in their old fashioned landon cabs the other week ...
I think it is BARCELONA on this 75th birthday -
My second guess, after having checked all the cities in here and learnt that a second guess is admitted: Vilnius in Lituania (origin of Leonard's mother )
