21 began on pg 3 of this thread. We didn't skip any. Well, I may have personally skipped, but the thread didn't.

Hi MM,

If you’ll go back to page 3 on this thread, you’ll find there the discussion of #21 (we alternatively call them chapters, psalms, prayers etc.), followed by the discussion of #22, 23 & 24. On the “Poetry and Novels” board you can find the earlier parts of the discussion, beginning with #1. Since the discussion has gotten to be so long, we cut it up into shorter threads for reasons of convenience. Now we are on a new thread with #25 (which is the seventh part or thread in the ongoing discussion), but if you have any new insights into earlier numbers we’ve discussed, you’re most welcome to offer them at any stage.

Sorry, DBCohen, I've been misled then. But as I said, I'll have to read through it all, which will become a study of philosophy. To tell you the truth at this point, I am not too fond of the Zen way of seeing life - maybe that is also because I do not know very much of that, but what I heard of it by people who are / were sympathetic to Zen, I felt rather repulsed. When I had longer talks with John Cage decades ago, trying to find out about his conceptions of "expression in music" - he absolutely denied that option, saying people express themselves simply by being, and not by any kind of art - I felt at that time, this was his opinion gathered by some of his personal experiences. And I felt I could not follow. So I see now this issue - Zen - has to be a challenge once again.
So far, to return to the theme of this thread, I see that I am looking at Psalm 21 in a completely different way as I could read here. This gives me food for reconsideration.
Bye for now.
