Talking of KK, In Chelsea Hotel 2#, is the quote about Janis Joplin looking for KK and finding LC acutally true?

If not, it's for certain great joke :D
I said to her "Are you looking for someone?" She said "Yes, I'm looking for Kris Kristofferson" I said "Lucky Lady, You're in luck, I am Kris Kristofferson". Such was the generosity of those times.
She preferred handsome men...

Jurica&Tom- i wish you had the chance to see that movie- the story is set somewhere in Chechenia- and there goes on flat out war between Russia and Chechenia. In the middle of that there is the psycho clinic, which becomes a place for the chechens to settle down in between the next battle. After a while, when they leave there come the Russians, There is a crazy girl who falls for the Chechen soldier, - she is so crazy and so adorable- I don't want to tell the whole story, but there is something in Konchalovsky's movie from Dostojevsky's Idiot- I mean the girl- she is somewhat a simbol of unconditional love.
try to rent it or something, the film is beautiful.

Yes, now I remember that I read the review when it was showed on some festival. Sounds very Russian: psychic clinic between two front lines. Very Tarkovsky 8) There's also that Lithuanian director Sharunas Bartas who imitates Tarkovsky (film without any word, set in lunatic asylum's corridor, and titled, of course, Corridor), and the motif was used even in one Croatian film about recent war, where the main character stuck in lunatic between lines, and then he walks on water like Christ - also quintesential Tarkovski's picture (there's water all over his movies). I don't need to tell that Croatian director is big fan of Tarkovsky. And also, the recent big hit from Russia, Zvyagintsev's The Return, there's water everywhere. I expected that actors will start to walk on water every second. They did not. But they cause the death of their father.

Hmmm. Seems like these directors are big on symbolism. I like my 'walk on water' scenes in the mode of 'Being There'. Not too heavy. And they speak English.

P.S.: They caused the death of their father? Did they marry their mother as well?

No, their father did
I think he was kind of a guy you don't want for your father.
Anyway, that's one of biggest festival hits last years, Linda, go and rent it :!:

Shall do. I'm waiting for the U.S. to wake up and say something about the death of Hunter S. Thompson. I can't.

Tom,

Forgive the stupid question, but if there's water everywhere and no one's walking on it, why the water?

Tom,

I had to read back to find the name of the movie (which I'm sure is not Tango & Cash!). Found it and I will rent it. I like these foreign epics. 8)

I remember there was some discussion in newspapers about meaning of water. Something to do with primary elements etc. but I'm not very sure. There was water in Tarkovsky's Stalker all over it, and in Andrei Rublev also.
The movie is The Return by Andrey Zvyagintsev.

I read that Hunter died right here this morning. There wasn't any news yet in Croatia.

Ah, yes. Of course. The meaning of water. In about 15 minutes, its going to mean I have to go inside a stream of it and wash with soap before I leave. Just quickly checking the board. While I'm gone, I will contemplate the meaning of water. As it pertains to long, foregin films.

I used to walk in the shade
with them blues on parade
Now I'm not afraid... this rover has crossed over

Now if I never made one cent
I'll still be rich as Rockefeller
There will be goldust at my feet
On the sunny, sunny side of the street

Hi Insanitor,

Just thought I'd say hello. We haven't talked lately, have we? Sorry, you see, as I get older I seem to forget a lot of things. I guess in some way it makes things easier. Anyway, I feel that if I'm forgetting about it, it can't be all that important. So, you see? I'm living in blissful ignorance. It is so very pleasant. It gives me so much more time to enjoy other things - things of beauty.

Anyway, it was nice chatting with you. Please don't forget me, I'll try not to forget you.
