Wishing all of you safe trips, zero turbulence, and smooth take-offs and landings.
The rest will take care of itself... though a bottle of Mythos always helps.

Thank you Lizzy but I can assure you that multiple bottles of Mythos will be consumed. I am certain that thousands of pictures will be taken by me alone to commemorate this visit. Hopefully others will also be taking many. T

Thanks for the heads up on the bank strike. I just looked it up on the internet. I will clearly plan on getting some Euros in Atlanta prior to departure but will wait until Friday or so to buy more. Surely the banks will give me a better rate than the cambio on the airport.

Avoid changing money at the National Bank of Greece: they charge an outrageous commission which they don't actually tell you about until it is too late. Alpha Bank, near the taxi-rank, gives a better deal, but, if you use travellers cheques, bring only high denomination ones, as their commission is per cheque without regard to its face value.
I am most amused by the complex descriptions of where the Roloi is. Hey people, it is next to the clock-tower. That's what 'Roloi' means!

Hahah... well done on the Roloi, hydriot!
GREAT tips on the money changing process, too.
Some will wish you'd said it sooner, but better late than never for others.
I'll sure keep it in mind when I go next time!

I made this little game as a surprise present for the Hydra meetup but I post the link now so everyone who can't be here with us can have some fun:

I hope no one will find it offensive. I made it with love and respect (so don't bother trying to remove the boxers *wink*)

Eva,
You told me you were going to do this and about all the fine detailing you had to do to make this come to fruition
http://evahasfun.deviantart.com/#/d3hyp7h and I have to tell you that the end result is brilliant - quite a bit of fun - thank you! An opportunity to dress and undress LC - who would have thought.....
Warmest regards,
Mary
