Hi everyone,
finally back home after a nightmare journey and have spent nearly 2 days in bed unable to move after doing something to my back on the first leg of my journey to the airport on Monday.
Sorry I missed seeing you again Mary, we kept getting lost and only bumped into a few people at random and saw more only when in the Colosseum for the Saturday concert
It goes without saying that the final concert was superb

Diane, Judy and I made it to the desert and the Grand Canyon safely, only 550 miles round trip!

Now I need to read the reports about the concert.

Sorry I missed seeing you again Mary, we kept getting lost and only bumped into a few people at random and saw more only when in the Colosseum for the Saturday concert

I saw you and Judy at Saturday's concert and tried to make my way over to say hello, an impossibility, and then the lights went down and I had to return to my seat. So many missed opportunities to meet others at this phenomenal show - best first half of all the concerts I was fortunate to attend. Hopefully we will be able to finally connect in the future.

I hope your back is on the mend. I can empathize, having to have back surgery a few years ago. May this episode of pain be of the shortest duration.

we've been lucky with the snow this winter here in liverpool but tonight our luck ran out when we had a right old dump of the feckin' stuff....i looked out of the window, as yer do, just before heading up to bed tonight and saw a snowman looking straight at me from across the road....suddenly all the adventures of snowy the snowman from last year came flooding back so just for old times sake and despite the lateness of the hour (1:30am.) i couldn't resist nipping out and taking a quick photo..

....so i thought what better time to wish you all a very happy christmas and all the very best for the new year...and let's hope our paths cross again soon.....if not sooner

Hi Everyone
Just back from a weeks holiday in Tunisia . You can imagine how I felt stepping from the plane at Manchester airport ! B....y freezing !! But then it wouldn't be christmas if it wasn't b....y freezing would it . Good to see the thread alive and well . I will get back to posting as soon as my brain thaws out but in the meantime Happy Christmas and a happy new year to all you wonderful people

Thanks Diane ! Unfortunately I missed the eclipse but did you know it is the first time it has coincided with the winter solstace for 372 years about the same length of time since a yorkshireman bought a round of drinks !
The winter solstace also happens to be Ian's birthday and he celebrated by going to see the Pogues and missing the last tube and had to walk home so the shortest day became the longest night but he said it was worth it !
