I will just have to trust you on that one Paula! Thankfully I haven't had much experience with handling many of those

that's hilarious, Paula! I hope everyone's keeping warm somehow. And mind you don't go A over T in all that ice.

Steady on Maryb the people who post on this thread are teetering on the edge of their ego's already so we wouldn't want to cause them undo embarrassment . However please feel free to post here at any time the only criteria is that you have looked at a picture of a mountain and said to yourself : "I will climb that baby one day "

Only if one of you volunteers to take me up piggyback. FYI, I don't weigh that much. Does that qualify for my future posts here? If not, 'I will speak no more'.

Hi Bernie,
Fifth row, Javier side - I am thrilled!

IF I am so fortunate to run into LC, I will invoke your name when I give him a kiss and your regards - only way I'd have the guts to do something like this.

Back to packing - leaving in less than 12 hours.

XOXOXO,
Mary

Looking at your concert attendance record Maryb I think I can say your qualification was never in doubt regardless of your mountaineering skills so please post, post, post!

On the first day of Christmas......

How's about a sing -song ?? :D

On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me
A Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Two homeward doves
And a Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the third day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
And another Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the fourth day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Four midnight choirs
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
And yet another Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the fifth day of Christmas my true love sent to me
F i v e diamond mines
Four midnight choirs
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
And ‘oh no! not another!?’ Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Six violins fiddling
F i v e diamond mines
Four midnight choirs
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
And, ‘guess what?’ another Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the seventh day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Seven wines all flowing
Six violins fiddling
F i v e diamond mines
Four midnight choirs
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
And a bloody Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the eighth day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Eight tongues with longing
Seven wines all flowing
Six violins fiddling
F i v e diamond mines
Four midnight choirs
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
And a frigging Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the ninth day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Nine long-stem roses growing
Eight tongues with longing
Seven wines all flowing
Six violins fiddling
F i v e diamond mines
Four midnight choirs
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
And, ‘well, Hallelujah!’ another Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the tenth day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Ten thin green candles glowing
Nine long-stem roses growing
Eight tongues with longing
Seven wines all flowing
Six violins fiddling
F i v e diamond mines
Four midnight choirs
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
And ‘please –no more- I’ve had enough!!’ a Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LP.

On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love sent to me
Eleven passion styles seducing
Ten thin green candles glowing
Nine long-stem roses growing
Eight tongues with longing
Seven wines all flowing
Six violins fiddling
F i v e diamond mines
Four midnight choirs
Three kisses deep
Two homeward doves
Then I sent back all the Leonard Cohen ‘Love and Hate’ LPs.

On the twelfth day of Christmas my cruel love sent to me
Twelve voodoo dolls pinning
Eleven dice all loading
Ten spider webs spinning
Nine long-stem roses dying
Eight silver knives flashing
Seven plagues all coming
Six violins burning
F i v e razor blades
Four drunks from choirs
Three open veins
Two frozen loves
And a ‘hatchet, blunt and bloody’ Leonard Cohen ‘Love and HATE’ LP.

Thank you Bernie :D
I had the lovely opportunity to be in the same room with him and see him from not-so afar, but there was a mob scene around him. Because I had met him previously, I was so very content to just watch him, revel in being in the same room with him, shoot a few overhead photos, and let others have the glory of meeting with him for a few moments. Even if I had decided to wade through the mass of fans, I don't think I would have had the guts to fulfill your total request. I would only have invoked your name and request without putting any pressure on him to see it to that conclusion. So, sorry Bernie, that I didn't have a chance to mention your name (and your granddaughter ;-) )to him :(

Wishing you and yours (especially your precious granddaughter) a very Happy Christmas,
Mary

HI Mary darlin..... thanks so much for even thinking of me. I saw a few pics of a big crowd around him, and I would have done the very same as you and just soaked up the atmosphere. How you all ended up in that room, must be some story. I look forward to your photos, and will check the L V thread.

Have a brillaint Christmas and its not over till it's over :)

Bernie,

Story....Joe, Joe and Anne (they finally got to meet the man!!!!!, albiet briefly), and Paula might be able to fill in some of it.

Someday, I would love to have the opportunity to attempt a mountain climb with all of you - I have already reached a few mountain tops after the Sligo and last Vegas concerts.

Much love,
Mary
