practice admitting your mistakes, anne. It will be good for your soul. Find the courage to explain that you misread the haiku that prompted your goodbye. you will be a bigger person for doing so. although that may involve you buying new clothes, it will probably be a thrilling experience to own up to your mistake.

of course if you can't find the integrity or courage then that will make you a smaller person and you will still have to buy new clothes.

see if you can overcome your issues about names (google Shakespeare and rose perhaps) and explain if you wish why that particular haiku led to your departure. where was the tastelessness in playing with "dog" and "cat" in that context?

Hopefully, you are not so far away from admitting that stereotyping a person led to your blunder. or was your departure because of the sexual overtones in IF's haiku one before? I think I am right in saying IF is a woman (we have never spoken) and maybe blaming her would cause gender problems for you?

" Animal perversion" isn't that the issue here? I can't think of one instance in which bestiality is tasteful. That's what I thought Harry meant. How can Anne be wrong in thinking a reference to bestiality is tasteless? Don't tell me I'm the one with the dirty mind for thinking of it. the "perversion" was the use of the word "dog" within "doggerel" and "cat" within "catapult". you probably don't have dirty mind just a dull puritan's mind.
