If there is one way to kick a yorkshireman when he's down it is to mention the r.... word and imply that he might have to actually put his hand in his pocket but you are right pouting is not good . So I promise not to pout anymore except when my lovely Jean makes waterfalls noises in the night and wakes me up
btw what programme was LC on tv !

What program was LC on?
Phil, surely you jest ;-)
It was BBC4 last night, a 1 hour edited selection from the new DVD Songs from the road. I think it's repeated again early next week about 3.00 am! if you want to check and record it. I struggled to stay up til midnight myself!

Oops ! Now that is a cardinal sin to admit to on the forum . I don't suppose you will accept the excuse that I have been living in a monastery for the last two years . No I thought not ! But I did climb a mountain with a bunch of people who prayed alot . Okay is was because they thought they were in danger of visiting god and not the other way round but it all boils down to the same thing dosen't it

....belated thanks to phil and pete our 2 poets in residence for your recent contributions..always a pleasure...

trying to find something of interest on the forum these days is getting harder by the month...i've almost gotten out of the habit of logging on at all...which is a shame because i can forget all about this thread of ours.....i've just spent a frustrating half an hour wading thru strange quasi religous messages refering to leonard's status some kinda holy man and of course the usual messages from members wishing each others cats a happy birthday.....i find facebook a more rewarding waste of my time these days

....one of the threads i do visit when i remember tells me that tinders is having trouble downloading the dortmund concert she attended......

...so tinders let me know if you are still having problems and if you are i will post you and trish a copy each...as it happens this is one of the shows that i will be knockin' up some artwork for over the weekend.....so i can do you both a personalised cover.......

.....i know it might be a little early to start the campaign to persuade pete to get himself a passport for next year's walking weekend in bavaria but does anybody have any ideas as to what strategies we will be adopting...maybe we need a couple of brainstorming sessions before the winter sets in..

...here's my opening idea...as only poets who hold a current passport are considered worthy enough for a commemorative window in the liverpool church of his holy bobness perhaps pete would like to take the first step that would enable him to join the bard of barnsley and other great poets of our time by applying for a passport...once pete can produce proof of a current and legal passport i'm sure arrangements for commisioning a window could quickly be put into motion...ta ken

Ah Ken, so clever and i love the colours too.

I have to agree with you about the Forum and facebook these days... i dont log in that much either. Let's keep this thread going for our little bits of news etc.

I would LOVE a copy of the Dortmund concert , if you can make it for me. It was probably my last one and was different without Sharon.

Thanks a million Ken, I will buy you the best pint of guinness when you come over here.

Some of the questions are confusing me. Why do they want to know whether I want to drive a a car, moped or a motorcycle? And it says I need a different form if I want to drive a lorry!!
And why are they asking if I can read letters and numbers at 20 metres??
It's questions like these that make me thankful that I have not bothered getting a passport before.

Don't give up on me, Ken. I've sorted out my passport photo. I found a photo booth which was cheap.... I only had 50p on me.

OH my god Ken, can you imagine him when he has to remove his shoes and belt and walk through that door at security.

I would not like to be behind Pete on that line :)

Remove my belt??? My trousers will fall down!!
..and as for removing my shoes...does that mean I need a clean pair of socks?
