Fljots- sounds so enthusiastic and righteous, but tell me dear-do you really think that it is a fare price to pay $16.99 for a CD? How much the performer gets? how much the seller? How much the company gets? Do you know?
I've never gotten any of my CD's other then buying at the store, but now, after your steaming steams, I am starting to reconsider my position on this subject- because I do hate that statement [size=9] hard-earned cash in this particular case. My dear, I don't give a damn how 'FAIR' the price is. That isn't the POINT. The POINT is, IF PEOPLE DON'T BUY it, but download it for free, they CHEAT THE ARTIST out of his royalties. Sure they cheat the producing companieas as well, but so what? They work, too. And they are entitled to their profit. It pays the wages of their employees: they are cheated as well if the company can't afford to pay a decent wage because they lose income to cheats.
As for the only people who work hard being agricultural or labourers - really! 
You think Cohen doesn't work hard? Hasn't worked hard all his adult life? Do you think writing music and lyrics is a cinch? Sure, it may not be physical labour, but it's hard work all the same. And live performances and touring are dead easy are they? No physical labour involved at all? I doubt any singer would agree with that. And I certainly don't. You only have to watch Cohen on stage to see how much physicality is involved, and it's just as true of many singers.
And if a simple statement like 'hard-earned cash' can make you change your mind about buying legally from a store - I'm sorry, but does such a small thing really threaten to compromise your integrity? I doubt it!

I agree with you, too, Fljotsdale ~ particularly, your outlining of what constitutes hard work in Leonard's [as well as other singers'/performers'] life. For one thing, it's why it's termed "intellectual property."
And, of
course, you don't talk too much. Not at all. In fact, your response was reasonable and well-supported.

Ln, Ln, Ln.... why everything has to turn into an argument, he? I wonder also. It is obvious that even if the craddle have been changed from a room to another, as the family is going bigger, the baby D is still in the craddle. Need us to make it eat, change the diapers, wash, etc, can't talk, just cry and smile and being loved and cherish and hope it will have a great future and a happy life.
Well, right now, just make sure that when you buy something, some percentage of the money still goes to LC.

Yes, Tchoco, I have to agree with the sentiment expressed in your last sentence. I buy CDs rather than copy from my friends, not just for the sake of royalties, but I like to have the cover art, lyrics, the entire package.
I like your description of little Baby D. Poor thing. It doesn't matter where the family might move, they still have to nurture and love little Baby D.

What a thing to say...
I certaintly am not arrogant and my intention was not to insult anyone's nation...
I' m just expressing the opinion that censorship is wrong and that when a country says "they are the land of the free" and that they have "free speech" when advocating the strictest censorship policies... Well that's an oxymoron...
If you felt insulted I do not apologise because that was not my intention.
And Greg I can't understand what you are talking about... There is no such thing as a Macedonian language, unless of course you are reffering to the ancient greek dialect in which case I can assure you that not only it is not forbidden but it is also taught at highschool...
