John, I didn't make it up. I read it somewhere. Are you implying one should not always believe what one reads?
And besides, I presume Kory representing LC's wishes, has veto power to nix undesirable venues?
-or-provide up front guidance to the promoter, please keep outdoor gigs to a minimum?
In another article prior to Sligo, there was a report that LC requested different, interesting venues.
So the promoters sought out quite a few outdoor venues, including Sligo, Ghent St Peters Square, Venice St Marks and other outdoor sites and of course Australia's Hanging Rock. Each of these outdoor concerts is now considered an extraordinary concert experience.
No coincidence, my dear John.

I suspect most of us got a cold after Weybridge!

I hope Leonard is as kind to Australia and New Zealand as he was last tour
it is said that US and Canadian dates will be announced in the fall and no mention at all of Australia
I would like to add in here that I hope Leonard Cohen's management will be able to add in dates for Australia

Arlene - One of us cannot be wrong...Maybe Leonard had chosen to combine touring with tourism, or maybe he feels at home in the rain with his Pisces Moon?

Thankyou Jarkko - I think I may have changed my 'tune'.

Have a little angry ... More concert dates were added in Ghent, talking here about Bucharest and Istanbul - and what Central Europe

Although Leonka wrote that Leonard had to return to Slovakia, but is still quiet ...

If concerts are now just at outdoor festivals, we will probably have to wait for the concerts in halls. Although with us a very large, multi-genre festival is ... near Ostrava. This year there appears as Rufus Wainwright, Bjork, Alanis Morissette or even Bobby McFerrin. It will take place on 12 to 15 July. It could be a nice start of the tour

Brighton would be wonderful! I am torn, I don't know whether to get a UK ticket as well as the ones I have for Ghent. Sigh. It is such an expense for a mere student as myself, but it seems such a shame, not to see LC in my own city*/country.
