goodnight, winterblossom
your purchase of tickets is definitive, fixed, only when they are paid ; you have six days time to pay ; if you don't pay, your tickets get back on sale, and there's no extra cost.
of course, if you're living in belgium, giving a phone-call to sherpa, explaining which tickets you want to keep, and which ones you do not need, could also work : they are rather flexible, in my experience ; and those tickets can be released for sale a few days faster ; as these leonard cohen concerts get sold out so fast, they will not be unhappy if the can re-sell some tickets : i looked at sherpa, 5 minutes ago, and the only tickets still available were in tribune E & J, when asking for two tickets, no 2 places together were left ; cat 1, 3, and golden circle are sold out.

It's strange, because I had the impression that sherpa did not give you the possibility to see excatly which seat it is selling you till you had paid the tickets, apart of course from choosing the block according to price . How did you do it to get a proposal of seats before payment??

I logged on to sherpa.be at 7.40 am my time this morning, mobile broadband working fine at 3G ... then I lost the 3G connection at 7.58 am, just before the tickets went on sale! I was totally despondent. I was prepared for disappointment but this was so unfair. Not even a fighting chance of a decent ticket. I rebooted ... still only a 2G connection and the first page took 15 mins to load ... by the time I was on the ticket allocation screen, row 20 was the best on offer ... I clicked back ... another 10 mins .... selected one seat in the Golden Circle again and went off to get washed ready for work. I was just going back to my computer to close it down around c 8.45 am my time when the page finally loaded for a second time and offered me - FRONT ROW! What?? I didn't dare breathe, let alone change the page to French so I struggled through the payment pages in Dutch. It must have worked as I have a ticket confirmation.

I was very late for an important meeting at an external site but I have a ticket so who cares?

Oh, and whilst I was out, a British Telecom engineer arrived at our house to install a new telephone cable. We have "proper" internet for the first time in almost 4 weeks.

So I'm back in the modern world and I'm going to three concerts in a row in Ghent. Hooray!

After you select the price group you want and the number of tickets, the next screen tells you which seats have been allocated to you (section, row number and seat number). If you like the seats you are offered you then go on to the next screen, log on and pay for the tickets etc.

Hello-

I purchased tickets for august 20 via Sherpa.
Sherpa confirmed their shipment last wednesday at 14h46, but up till now nothing arrived. Should I get worried ? Did anybody receive his/her tickets yet ?

Tommie,
Don't worry, Sherpa confirmed their shipment for me on the 30th, but my tickets didn't arrive untill last Saturday (May 8th). I guess some courrier must have dropped the envelope in my mailbox, because it didn't have any stamps on it and it was a Saturday afternoon. It's a blanc, white envelope with on the back a small line stating "T&T, Havenlaan 86c, 1000 Brussel" which is the return address for Sherpa.

See you in Ghent,
Maarten

Today we received our tickets. They were brought by a courrier. The countdown can begin!

now i'm worried.
message from sherpa on may, 5th says my tickets B17/1&2, are sent on may, 5th, but i found no white envelop, yet.
other tickets, "wheelchair tickets" for friday and saturday, also "sent on may, 5th, arrived last week, friday 7th.
one thing was different : those tickets were sent by normal mail, (prior), whilst the parterre seats were "insured shipment". maybe that's the slower way of travelling.

Pe,
I had to go and pick my 'insured shipment' tickets up at the local postoffice using i.d. because we were not home when they were offered.

Yes, insured shipment takes longer. I remember that when I bought tickets for Cohen in Brussels. I was worried too then, but they arrived eventually, in a weekend.
Now I ordered normal (prior) shipment by post (2.30 Euro), and when you get the confirmation mail of the shipment(from Sherpa), the tickets arrive two days later .

Does anybody has some photo of a similar outdoor concert with tribunes? I saw the sit map in Sherpa and I was just wondering if that has been done before in the Tour. I remember that Venice was outdoor too (in Piazza San Marco) but there was no tribune there... Just to imagine how this will be set up!

Thanks!

Wijbe
That's what I meant Wijbe... In Venice there was no tribune, only "Parterre". This is the map in Sherpa:

I was looking for some similar concert where there were both Tribune and Parterre. :)

bloodbrother, just to give you an idea, i calculated this :

parterre B = 21 seats large, 27 rows =[21 x 2/3 metre] x [27 x 1 metre] = 7 x 27 metres
two blocks with 2 metres between them, that's about how large the central part of the stage is, i imagine ; that could give you an image inside your eyes of what the place would look like. to this, you add this picture of the sintpietersplein http://www.leonardcoheningent.be/nl/default.asp, + a warm summer evening, + leonard cohen as usual, at his best, and you get another perfect night, never to be forgotten.

nice dreams,
