The heavens opened and a ray of light shone down on Linda as she officially became a fan of the man she had never heard of but will now never forget the name of Leonard Cohen :)

Diane wrote:Phil, the landlady at the Sandpiper regretted The Liptrots Leaving and found an egg for you after all which she gave me to pass on. I best cook it before I send it, incase it cracks in the post. How would Jean like it?

I would ask her but don't you remember I am barred from the forum for six months so she does not know i am posting so I am going to scramble away from the computer asap . There you have it a terrible egg joke I promised myself I would not do it but my fingers kept on typing
The boiled ones run the poached are fun
The scrambled there to beat
You win a while and then it's done
Goes well with any meat
I'm turning tricks I'm getting fixed
With my recipe sheet
I live my life as if it's real
A thousand egg cups deep

Sorry Leonard !!

Wherever you go in Ireland you will encounter a storyteller who will entertain you with stories of legends, ancient folklore, amazing history sagas, and tall tales told in the special Irish lilt that is so endearing and entertaining. For our weekend in Barmouth Diane was able to import one such storyteller and here she is with a captive audience………

ha ha Phil.... yeah Mambo is fed up with it all no doubt! Wonder what I was saying at the time that was so interesting. With all the talking I do, i guess I come out with something witty now and then but I could never match your amazing poetry skills.... so humourous and they rhyme too. You cannot stay away for 6 months. I will have to have a word with Jean. :)

I can vouch for Mambo, who constantly came out with short one-liner cracks that kept me laughing, especially when I was driving. A dangerous situation with a car full of boisterous women.
