 Poetry Cop's Classified Ad is very funny ~ doesn't come across as really harmful or mean-spirited. I hope Witty would see the humour in it. Witty?

Beginning to end, that's a very good rule, Linda [even though I sure don't believe any would be Leonard, the principle still holds true].

Hi Lizzie - I know you didn't make the comment and I was not having a pop at you. I was just clarifying the whole reason why we joined the board.

 I knew you weren't, Paula. I didn't take it personally with you. That was my reason for saying "just for the record," as there may well be, and are, others who do mean it personally ~ and I took the opportunity to clarify my position on it. I agree with why we joined here. As for you and me? We're fine :D . I appreciate your own clarification, regardless :) .

Oh, dear, I know I should never have started posting while suffering from insomnia. My remarks on the "essence" of the board (Lizzytysh) was from a desire to encourage Witty Owl to return. That is why I wrote: "Listen to Lizzytysh". I suppose I chose the words "essence of the board" because I so enjoy reading Lizzytysh's well-thought out posts. (So unlike my own) :? And because she is the most prolific member as her posts number almost 2000. But I believe every member is important to the board.

I recall that no-one pled with "poor Miranda" to stay. And the abuse heaped on her was even more vitriolic than that now being slung at partisan.

Witty Owl hoots in a huff that he is leaving and all the usual suspects fall on their swords trying to convince him to stay. What a circus.

Coco ~ Thank you for your kind compliment [regarding your enjoyment of reading my postings]. I didn't take your comment to mean that, but rather as being directly linked to reenforcement of encouragement to Witty Owl [my two alternative interpretations I offered earlier]. A huuuuuuge "DITTO" on all the other members!

As for your insomnia, "no time like the present" to start posting.....work through all that other stuff later  when you find yourself explaining yourself  .....oh well. It's been awhile since you've posted at all, so insomnia has its merits.

Well, George, not really sure how to reply to this....or whether to at all, but I will. The firestorm that surrounded Miranda started and increased subsequent to her trashing the poetry, carte blanche. Did you plead with her not to leave? It's a personal choice.

Paula ~

I forgot to include that on your #3 and the numbers-count [if I understand your comment correctly], the concentration would automatically give a skewed impression, when you have a number of people deciding to comment, on one thread, regarding an overall pattern.

Aye, George.................it's a circus of beautiful losers
the owl toots and bluffs
and disappears in a huff
and throws itself on a cocktail stick
that's punishment enough

The cyber cop's postings do have humour as stated but I suspect the owl does not agree. I am amused at being "arrested" with the poets as there are no poems from this member. :P Fact is all the reactions are a laugh, if it weren't for the pathos of the conflict.
WO, give back as good as you get! Give us some witty retorts to the ill mannered P and P C.

P and PC are the same
it's their pleasure that surely is the shame
the owl should peck them with his beak
for both are very shamefull geeks
and are very much ill mannered freaks

You're right, Aavalanche, regarding the pathos and the unfortunate compulsion to degrade. I'm suspect you're right on what's taken humourously, even regarding the last, most benign of the PC postings.

As far as your arrest is concerned, since when do actions of the authorities relate to evidence  ? As for me, I consider it opportune circumstance, as some poetic propensity may rub off, whilst in such fine company :) . Rehabilitation of the highest order :D .

I think of people who truly are at one with nature, and live their lives accordingly; and I believe that their ventures into the pell-mell public, with its raucous clashing and mixing of energies, come with a more-highly sensitized orientation [and vulnerability] to same. Retreating to the world fairly uninhabited by humans is not an atypical reaction for someone of this nature. The gains far outweigh the perceived losses. Even if not to respond "in kind," I still await the intelligent entries of dear Witty.
