Are you going, Kush, if you happen to be in the area? After all these years in the forum, I can see some kind of stampede to ticket counters. Well, with a 'kind' of FCC backing, I think it would be most enjoyable - in the Orpheum Theatre, in Vancouver. But, in fact, no one here knows anything for sure (I say for the sake of the board). Poor ol' Leonard could be hit by a screaming mass of fans, and then retreat to Mt. Baldy. Destiny will decide. If that's not your bag, then 'time and circumstance'.

what a delight to peek into that beloved cohendom and to behold the most joyous of news, news worthy of a long long smile, as long as Cyrano's nasal protuberance... Canada, is it not just a benign border-crossing away, a mere thousand miles from home.... just to touch and be touched by the immortality of Leonard's blessing.... not equal to the frustration of reading 8 pages of posts backward in a vain attempt to find exactitude of plans herein....

Hi Linda of the Lake, Hello Lizzy et al .... creatures of continuity and Masters of Mount Amphitryon

Oh, Marcel, get off the crapper. The first person I met in this forum was YOU. And then, and even then, you had to pick a bone. If, you feel that Leonard's home of Montreal is just a mile away, just a smile away, just a kiss away ... what are you doing here? No, you old dawg - you love him as much as we do. Geez, you sound like my once mean old mom! I wanna go! so I will!

We are all pleased with the news and feel his grace. I liked you better when you worked for Chippendale, come to think of it. But, catch as catch can, I guess.

Kiss kiss,
Linda.

PS: speaking of nasal protuberances, does the name Pinocchio cause you to tremble within your fuzzy slippers? xx

Christine wrote:Hi Jason, yep, a meet up's a must. So far I know of you, Blonde M, Dar and I. It's usually quiet in this neck of the woods on the forum but hopefully more LA folks and maybe even out-of-towners will show up when we get the details. I'd be happy to be the co-point person with you if that's okay and will be adding my email address here shortly. And with Perla and Julie local, maybe we'll get lucky there too. When we get confirmation of an LA date, we can post a new thread in Other Gatherings and go all out from there.

Kush, I had to give up on finding you an Elvis Hallelujah gig but if LC plays here (and not in Ill), do I have reason to hope?

Diane, a list!
So if you could pick a venue that you think would most suit Leonard in L.A. what would you say? I'm leaning towards the Wiltern. Seen many a-great shows there, including Marilyn Manson, Lou Reed (been backstage there for his show!), The Pogues (twice!), and the Zappa Plays Zappa tour.

Amazing news. I can't wait to hear if he will come to The Netherlands. Oh my. This has been a dream for me ever since my parents played his records for me to hear when I was around 8 years old.

Great, Great News...I'v been a Cohen fan since age 13 when he published and I listened one and a hundred times to I'm Your Man album.
later I had the unforgetable luck to attend his concert on Barcelona (my city) of the Future tour.
I was on the best sit you can imagine, on the first raw, with my gilfriend on my side and the corridor on the other.
My dream come true on that 15 of may of 1993.
I really wish taht Cohen comes to Europe an that I can get a ticket to see him because his presence is really magic.

As I mentioned before, Lizzy, Leonard's music is a huge part of mine and my second husband's life. We were married last May in a civil ceremony and we had three of his songs for our wedding. We met as everyone does these days, on the internet. We had been emailing one another in an on off kind of way as friends, when he happened to mention that he'd been listening to LC during a long motorway journey, and that he had always been a fan. Of course, my next thought was, this man and I were made for one another. The rest, as they say is history. :D

I have a son, who is now in his thirties, whom I introduced to Leonard's music when he was seventeen. Well of course he has his mother's genes, and caught on instantly! As it says on the sleeve notes of his unforgettable first album, thos with ears will hear.

Lundell: as you may see elsewhere on this Forum, the new album has been postponed
and will not be released before or during the tour.

And welcome to all new members - looks like there are many who have been lurking here,
and now got excited about the tour news!

This is to all who are interested in the tour: PLEASE do not email me asking for tour
dates, cities, backstage passes, first row tickets etc. (I counted that I've received
already over 100 requests). ALL information we are receiving will be posted immediatelly
on the Files and here on the Forum.

The tour schedule is NOT ready yet, so I really cannot tell you if any individual country
will be included. The tickets must be reserved from your local ticket sellers (ticket master etc.)
after the concerts have been announced. We may try to organize something in a city or two, but it will
be up to the company that takes care of the tour operations. If so, I will post complete
information here.

We will later open a separate thread for every concert so that people can easily discuss local
meetups etc.

look here L.a.w (LindaAllWet).... crotchety is as crotchety sees.... is it not strange that on the way to an LC performance we would debate the nasal protuberances of Cyrano and Pinocchio... who nose how this will end?....
