For treatment but not a cure, listen to 'Dad's gonna kill me', Richard Thompson, 'Sweet Warrior' album.
'Dad' refers to Baghdad.

perhaps the earth's hunch is what the hell is in store

a dam alights Moody Pond
In pictures, In the sky.

it's a long-toned, sorta lectro-magnet-

it's a war on we're having a war

perhaps the earth's hunch is what the hell'sin store

and the thick and the whirl are turned inside out
horrors within
fragments of peace without
some sandbags where there is still skin
the frag within,
the fuse without

a diamond, a needle, a pearl
a case, a bullet, a cure

We could make a fonder time
Than this recourse presumed
a generous theater
in this reckless climate

When the canopys of generations
are al flung aflight in reflections
the glue that peeels lake and sky
>> Cawing > < < reflections >>>

perhaps the earth's hunch is in the hell in store

When he who adores thee has left but the name
Of his fault and his sorrows behind,
O! say wilt thou weep, when they darken the fame
Of a life that for thee was resigned?
Yes, weep, and however my foes may condemn,
Thy tears shall efface their decree;
For, Heaven can witness, though guilty to them,
I have been but too faithful to thee.

With thee were the dreams of my earliest love,
Every thought of my reason was thine:
In my last humble prayer to the Spirit above
Thy name shall be mingled with mine!
O! blest are the lovers and friends who shall live
The days of thy glory to see;
But the next dearest blessing that Heaven can give
Is the pride of thus dying for thee.

Pro Patria Mori Thomas Moore 1777 - 1844

This can be 'read' two ways. Pro War or anti war. We each see what we want to see.
We each interpret the words in our own way. The thought of believing that once in Heaven, the 'voice' will be praised for going to war, could be considered presumptuous (or desperate?) What is certain is that the 'implied' ultimate-sacrifice for one's country was considered to be noble indeed.
