I often watch the sky to see if you will come
In seas with impatience I churn
In the tallest tower of the Afterdome
I gaze to espy your return

Our halls mourn the passing of friends
Who perished out there in the dust
The chasm is broken yet healed once again,
and we guard it from the halls of trust
Benighted are the rims of our souls, and in folly we frolic to forget
But to our dismay, the memories haunt us, ever stronger yet

We call the names of the everlost
We spray the blood of those who took them
We too are everlost in our lamentation
And these tales shall be told until the end

But for the coming of hope
We need our redeemer by our side
For we are lost in our lament and our songs have grown silent
So we will forever watch the sky to see if you will come
