If this place shuts down, I for one will miss it. I don't post much, but I check in every now and then. Big thanks to Jarkko and everyone else. It's been fun.

I'm for Lizzy too!

She is a chatterbox.
She does take threads off on a tangent and sometimes ruin them.
She does take offence and worry about the opinions of others too much.

She has commented on all my poems.
She has encouraged and applauded my efforts.
She has cried while reading some of my more sensitive lines and rewarded me with knowledge of this.
She has journeyed with me and others through the Welsh countryside via this forum.
And always I felt she meant well.

I like Lizzy with her perceived faults.

Thanks for the positive vibes Lizzy!

Mat.

I agree, I could have written that myself.
If it wasn't for the forum I wouldn't have met some of the people here or be in possession of the cds & videos that I now have, thanks to the generosity of fellow fans. I was also able to the return the favour to a few here.

take care everyone

Seriously, Jarkko? Are you really going to shut down the forum? Very sad, if true. I know I've been away... but it always made me smile to think of the people and fond memories here (and the previous forum). Now, I feel badly for posting a silly reply on a much more light-hearted topic. I'm sorry to hear that there has been trouble... but Jarkko, I'm pretty sure even those who may have been problematic at times have appreciated your hard work and dedication to this site. I know it's a labor of love for you, and probably none of us realize just how much "labor" is involved. I haven't read ALL the previous posts on this thread... so, I apologize if I'm repeating what others have said. You have to do what you have to do... so if it's "Closing Time", that's just the way it is. I guess it will be a quick "Hiya" again and goodbye to some old friends. Thanks for letting me visit.

This forum will not close on May 31. We will discuss its future at a meeting on Hydra in early June, and after that a decision will be made.

Welcome back, Julia!

THANK YOU!! Jarkko, you rock!! I was so sad to think that I had come back just as the ship was sinking. I only wish I could be there with you in June on Hydra!! Woo Hooooo!! I haven't heard back from Tim, yet, but I'm sure he was part of this whole arrangement... and Dick (with his child bride). I've missed you all, and I'm so tickled and excited that Jarkko paid the rent and we can stay for now!

Probably the best news I've had so far this year - I may not post that much but I do visit regularly and enjoy, parts, of the discussions

Mat, althought you forgot "she used this forum to built at least one known abominable hoax" and "she can be a manipulator" this is the most intelligent, sensitive, true, just, common sensed, and beautiful post I have read regarding that "Lizzy issue on the forum".

We see not only the apes but the effect of the angels glands in all the beauty human beings can have, all in all. I'm impressed and pleased and, yes, deeply touched by your post. That is just Great! :D

I really hope this forum will not close.
I started to listen to Leonard Cohen only a couple of month ago. And I joined the forum even later. Have not been writing a lot. But I read more. And I read some interesting things/news.

Jarkko, you're a mensch!

If you don't know what that is - it's a Good Person!

The meetup in Toronto this weekend would not have been possible without the Forum.

So, tomorow night, at the Greek restaurant, we'll drink a toast to you,
and everything you've done for this special community.

Cheers,
evelyn
