Hi John ~
Happy Anniversary
!
This song should've been a hit... very sweet and one I can relate to, so well... in that sweetness of youth and innocent love; okay, in that sweetness and innocence of love, kind of way
.
Sure hope you tuck that guitar into the back seat of your car
.
It's beautiful that you don't need to sing this song to Mrs. K
, except for entertainment or casual curiousity, as you go off your separate ways, during your travels and days.
Love,
Lizzy

Hi John ~
I guess that's why I like it so much... I'm sappy
. It reminds me of my first love [I was 12, he was 11 ~ we both remember the first time our eyes met; and it registered with both of us on another level, that we had yet to fully understand, yet understood something]. As I listened to him play sax in the school band, I heard individually his instrument, though there were two other playing sax, as well.
We pretty much stayed together through junior high and high school, separation for five years, after I graduated; went back together and lived together for a year; then, married and lived together the next year; separated and lived apart, though still married, the following year. Reconciliations and attempted ones have punctuated our lives periodically ever since, obviously none with what one might call success
. Still ~ he has been a driving force in my life; along with, yet beyond, Leonard... the undeniable real-life aspect. He introduced me to Leonard's music, "Suzanne" the first song I heard.
Never carved initials in a tree, but swung on the rope swing in my backyard and leaning against that tree shared our first kiss. Many thoughts over the years could be said to be the "What Makes You Think about Me" type, as I've experienced a good deal of things that have made me think about him. If anyone were to be considered my lifelong love, who do you think it would be
? Some of the nostalgia I've experienced at various times, various places, has been nearly overwhelming... but that is quite better for me now.
"Sappy" is good when it comes to a popular song... especially for ones who, in the innocence of their youth, are experiencing love in a delicious way they may never know again.
I'd love to hear you sing your song. Perhaps, I won't even cry.
Love,
Lizzy
