Hi Pete....That's not a good sign, is it? At least you still have 3 weeks headstart on me, before my computer woman even shows. She's pretty good though, so I'm helpful. If you'll spell out move by move what you've tried, what your settings are, etc., I'll Print them hard copy for her to go over when she comes to help me and if you're not accessing it by then, I'll see what she says. I won't be able to understand what you've spelled out, probably, but she will. It's worth a try.....

September 21 is Leonard's 68th birthday, but where and what is the "happening"?
I had an idea that forum members and guests could each write a birthday message to Leonard on a section of the board dedicated for that purpose.
Jarkko could then get the whole lot off to Leonard in time for his birthday. I'm sure it would be a very long, warm "Birthday Card"!!
What do forum members think?
Yours, Andrew.

Of course, you can change your vote, Pete.....however, what would Leonard say now, if he were asked? "And besides, Pete's already been to Edinburgh"? Not quite the same punch, unless to endorse your endorsement.
Andrew.....they're gathering in England on his birthday. The VP Board was trying for a small [very] gathering and were debating the location. Then Lizzie Madder [from the Hydra event] came on the Board and suggested they simply join her and her group with their already-planned event, which I've cut and pasted below for you and whomever else might be interested and not knowing about it:

I haven't had time to read everything on this topic, but just wanted to butt in here and tell you that there are plans for a big Cohen party in Leicester on 21st September.
I read somewhere at the beginning of this topic that people didn't know about previous events. That's a shame - we've had a number of events in Leicester over the past few years: Cohen birthday parties, a number of Songbook Nights at The Musician in Leicester, and a film day at The Phoenix Arts Theatre in Leicester last year, which was a sell-out.
If you are interested, please contact me on lm30@le.ac.uk. I need to know level of interest as soon as possible so can work out whether the local hostelry is big enough or whether I need to book conference centre!
Leicester's only 1.15hr from London by train - easy access via M1/M69/M6. East Midlands Airport only 15 minutes away.
So don't be square, be there, be where - Leicester!!
Lizzie"
Of course, your card idea sounds good as well. One won't preclude the other.

Ireland for all those who wish to understand North America.
Hi there all:
It amazes me how you all find the time to get here so often - I am just passing through - how few of you know me - and so shall it be.
I was in Hydra, so I guess I get two votes. I'll take them now but with comment thereon ...
Ireland and Ireland again ... Never been there, always wanted to go there. Why? History, culture, atmosphere, countryside, beauty, need I say any more. And good beer.
New York is so much closer for me, but its not me and I honestly believe it is not Leonard Cohen. I can't believe this man of magic will live his dyning days in LA versus going back to Hydra....
Please, not France..
Bye for now and may peace be with you all in the New Year. Happy New Year to all Cohen fans. May the true king of music live on forever ...
