Well all I'll say is Jack used to like to go on about RD Laing & I never understood a word of it but I loved Jack & when he dropped a name I went looking for everything I could find with that name on it. I found a book called Knots & I never understood that book but I tell you what ThanksfortheTrouble this feels like that kind of knot.

Um, thanks, Abby, I think (I have absolutely no idea what any of that meant).

As for you, ThanksfortheTrouble,

I am all in favour of alienating people if they are contemptible fucktards!
So, not all people are equal.
You have taken my remarks totally out of context. In the first quote, I was speaking very seriously about equality amongst genders, arguing that a person's gender should not affect nor determine how other people should treat them, or what other people should expect of them or impose upon them -- we are all human beings first, and do not deserve different (better or worse) treatment on the basis of gender (or race, or colour, or sexual orientation, etc., that is, on biological characteristics that people are born with).

Unfortunately, the fact is that a lot of people are treated very unfairly and very badly because of their innate biological characteristics, by ignorant and contemptible individuals who seem to think that not all people are equally deserving of the same human rights or the same civil rights. In the second quote (which was actually a tiny bit tongue-in-cheek), it was people like that to whom I was referring -- people whose social and political views I find to be ignorant and contemptible, and I was speaking merely of alienating such individuals from one's social circles. As much as I may despise such people (due to their chosen views and actions), I would not deny them human rights or civil rights (except maybe voting... ;-) ).

The Bully was part of a series. There was a fourth in the series but I destroyed it. There's photographic evidence of the fourth drawing's existence. Let me see what I can do to make it shareable.

I found this painting my mom did of me after she died. I added some words to it this morning.

This place needs some more colour! Here's a drawing I did this morning, coloured pencil on paper.

beautiful water lily. yes, this place does need some colour, and you are good at that. a great picture to celebrate reaching a half-a-million-views milestone. thank you for this! i intend to bring some colour, too - but am still waiting for the right moment.

meanwhile, just a couple of awful monochrome practice sheets :(

Half a million views -- I didn't even notice that. Wow, we rock! 8)

Thank you for the kind comments on my drawing! The green background also unintentionally celebrated St. Patrick's Day yesterday -- apparently people like to wear green clothing and accessories on March 17 (and eat green food and drink green beer...).

I shall look forward to the moment when you are inspired to bring some colour to these parts. In the meantime, although I am generally not a huge fan of the Jesus theme, the McDonald's one and the Taekwondo moves made me laugh!

That's quite the extraordinary feat, to be able to paint a picture after one has died. It is fascinating when our loved ones find all sorts of interesting ways to communicate with us from The Great Beyond.

we rock for a while, and then it's done - our little winning streak.

flock instinct? if it makes them feel better, then by all means go for it.

will be home tomorrow evening, and will bear this in mind.

nice to hear/read. holy books are literature, just like harry potter or grimm's fairy tales. bible study can be entertaining. for example: when jesus returns the lion will lay down with the lamb, it says - meaning we will all become witless vegetarians.
