never-ending gallery
Re: never-ending gallery
I wrote to my endocrinologist this week asking to be tested for whatever would indicate that I am intersex. I made a joke to him that hopefully what lingers behind the ovaries that were left when I had my uterus & fallopian tubes removed last summer will be a prostate & not just testes. I said I hoped he was laughing. How he came to be my endocrinologist is a story for another time but I'll tell you he treats me for hypothyroidism. That sounds like the punchline of a joke but on my mother's name it is not, Lisa.
Re: never-ending gallery
thank you for these comments. my opinion on religion i have mentioned before - freedom is a valuable commodity. being a follower is not something i could buy into. all i do is make pictures; not ones that necessarily reflect any personal message.
if jesus ever existed, which he may well have done, i doubt he was a divine being. perhaps just an early jewish celebrity. he and his credulous companions made a living by doing a three-year tour of their area, entertaining local simpletons with the perfect scam: believe in me and you will be rewarded . . . after you croak(!).
a laughable but irrefutable swindle, that many still dare not disbelieve. if accepting the paranormal and magic gives you comfort, then go for it - i almost envy you. unfortunately i don't have that luxury.

I speak as ambassador for the LC community when I say we're so happy to hear from you! You must be feeling at least somewhat better to be sounding so much like your old self, g.
That lack of luxury you mentioned is fascinating. What are some synonyms do you think?

that's where a roget's thesaurus comes in handy.

Luckily if you need a thesaurus I'm your man. You could call it childhood trauma I think. I know it's me who wanted the thesaurus, & I am the thesaurus, so I wanted myself, & what a blessing that is. Other synonyms for the particular kind of privilege I was interested in yesterday have mow lost about all interest. Here's a recent photo.

Coulda sworn the person being spoken to ala "you don't really care for music do you (ya??)" was a woman & not some mfer taking a mallet to a guitar. Call me dense I guess? Unless you mean to say that mfer is god?? Help a girl out here.
Or are you saying all that music was sort of wasted on sort of deaf ears?

abby, i don't have a lot of control over what slides out from my pencil. it's like the planchette on my ouija board. it feels good to be an observer, to just relax and avoid responsibility. the same phenomenon often occurs when i'm sitting behind the steering wheel of my volkswagon, not knowing exactly where to go. i just start driving and let the car decide.

Lisa, can I butt in here, even though we've just met?
