Hopefully this is a sign that the archives might be opening back up?

My guess is that it is unrelated to the archives.
I suppose the issue with the archives will not be resolved until the court case between the family and the management has been decided. A jury trial is scheduled for 28 October though.

Hi

I'm sure the Tony Palmer movie and the work behind the scenes regarding the archives are two totally different things. But I'm looking forward to this release, hopefully nothing will come in between again...

Hi
same here in Germany. I received an email that my order has been dispatched on December 4, but nothing has arrived up to now. My account shows exactly the same details regarding delivery as Maarten has reported in his post. As the item is sent from the UK it has to be imported into the EU I assume that the delivery is delayed by German customs authority who has to determine the VAT. This has already happened before. I will let you know when it has hopefully has arrived. It would have been nice to have some unreleased Cohen for the holidays.

Hi

Still no package in the mailbox...
And I've heard from a French friend he hasn't received his order either.
Did anyone else "already" receive their package? Anyone who ordered from the UK and whose package hasn't got to pass customs perhaps?

I suggest we all file an escalation request if we still haven't received our items by January 10.

I remember losing my money when I ordered my package through PledgeMusic quite some time before. I hope Tony Palmer has learnt his lesson by now!

*Sigh*

I was wondering about this today, too - also still waiting on my order to arrive.
By now I have received packages from the UK shipped much later than the Tony Pamer/Music Glue order, even with customs, Xmas delays and all...(I'm from Germany)
So, the feeling begins to grow that this will be the second time we're fooled by these Tony Palmer 1972 releases :( .

I second Maartens request & would love to hear that someone already received their order.
Give us a heads up :)

Still waiting for my order in the US. It's unusual this order does not have tracking. Surely we weren't scammed, were we?

I received the standard DVD and CD from Amazon UK on 13th December.

The Limited Edition Box Set has been in my Amazon basket since it was first listed on Amazon (in November, as far as I recall), with, initially, a release date of 13 December, but I note that the release date has gradually shifted from 13 December to (now) the 24th January.

Also, Amazon’s price is a lot higher than the listed price at MusicGlue.

Thanks for your information. I was surprised that you have ordered from Amazon UK as it was my impression that these items were only sold via Music Glue. Nevertheless it is good to know that CD and DVD actually exist.

I had ordered the deluxe edition from Music Glue. If I don't receive it by tomorrow (January 10) I will follow Maarten's suggestion and file an escalation request.

In 2017 I ordered a rare Bowie CD from a seller in the USA. It was dispatched within two days and arrived fairly quick in Frankfurt but then it took five weeks to get through German customs. In the end the deliverer forgot to collect the fees which I thought was a kind of compensation. Due to this experience and Thanksforthe Troubles' post I am still hopeful that the Cohen box will finally arrive.
