thank you for an interesting poem, numandin - though your accompanying message was what captured my attention. by the way, i do not live in an english-speaking country, but i believe scrapbooks and schoolbooks can both be written as one word. also, i hope you don't mind, but i added an apostrophe because yours had been overlooked. it's good to see you here, and i hope you will stop by again. below are some questions, but feel no obligation to answer them if they are considered intrusive.

cheers (as one of our regulars here would say).

questions:
1. did your mother not bother to look inside the books she decided to throw away?
2. what was your reaction to your mother when you discovered what she had done?
3. why did your sister not throw her books away herself?
4. has your mother apologised to you?
5. does your mother ever value any of her children's work enough to keep it?
6. on a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest), how sentimental would you say she is?
7. by the same scale, how much maternal instinct would you say she has?
8. would you say she loves her children and is genuinely interested in their hobbies?

answers: (please complete and return)
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

1. My mother is an aging woman and she sometimes does irrational things. So she did not bother to inside of them.
2.I was shocked. I felt cold, hopeless. I felt like my veins are running dry. I got into a corner and asked to her “Are you joking? You didn’t like them and want me to stop, right?”. She said she was sorry she had a thing with throwing stuff away that is probably genetic because all her sisters do that as well. I wanted to light a cigarette but I didn’t wanted to do it in front of my mother. So I asked her for a cup of tea and I drank it while I was shivering and crying.
3. She did threw away herself after graduating but my mother thought that she forgot some.
4. She did and she cried while doing it
5.I know she wouldn’t do it if she noticed. She values us and I think if had read them she would have liked them.
6. 7 she is sentimental. But she doesn’t want to think about her action because of her being tired.
7.She is a great mother. I would never want another mother. She allowed me to study. She encouraged me into reading. She helped me through a lot of stuff. So I give a 10 on that scale.
8.She likes my hobbies. My sisters doesn’t have any it is unbelievable but after living with her for 3 months I saw that she had none.

By the way thanks for the criticism. And I’d like to hang around here some more.

you are more than welcome, and it is good to know you plan to hang around. you seem to have quite an acceptable personality, warm and harmonious, not unlike my own - if i may be so bold. there are a number of people who visit this column, but most shy away from reacting or making their presence known - so please be aware of their timidity and do not be discouraged. as for myself, i am not at all shy, and two years ago it was even brought to my attention that my 'flooding' of this column could intimidate other potential posters. therefore, even though i can occasionally stray, i tend now to keep mainly to a thread called never-ending gallery in which anyone is welcome. once again, it was encouraging to receive such an open and positive reply from you, and i look forward to reading more of your work :)

The Loch Ness Monster, is it the Thunder of Tourettes?
Ore, the carrots of my ice.
Does she, like me,
Not exist
I play badminton
ore, a harlot, ore an harlot
and the Sleeping Bill is turning out to be a creep
Or is it the rear
this Bard is out of watermelon?

I was not confident about it anymore so I did not want it to occupy the space.

Fair enough. It is hard to share something so personal of oneself that anybody in the world can see. Thanks for trying, though -- I did read them! Cheers.

Sorry I missed it.
It sounded like a good one.
Personal poems are a gift.
We’ve all come to
This moment
To find out
Who we are.
Painted colors
Scribed words
Sweetly found.
