Koos van der Merwe, award-winning songwriter and poet, as well as for more than 10 years already columnist for Sarie magazine, joining forces with Matthys Maree, the Afri-Frans, Afri-ispanic. Afri-Talia and Afrikaans Travel albums, released with the new project LEONARD COHEN IN AFRKAANS.

Koos, in 2012, began working on the translation of Cohen's greatest hits and got Cohen's personal approval for the translations.

Songs such as "Dance Me To The End Of Love", "Suzanne", "Hallelujah" and "Famous Blue Raincoat" are now immortalized in Afrikaans, with Jack's incredible writing skills and poetic approach.

The CD contains 14 tracks in total and each one with a theme to which you must meditate, or cry, or be silent.

And maybe, if you start to surrender and allow the deep melancholy to sweep you along, you will feel like you have to start dancing slowly.
