Fans of Leonard Cohen will be pleased to hear about a harmonic convergence of events focusing on the famed bard and songwriter. A "Leonard Cohen Love Fest" at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Mechanics' Institute will feature Sylvie Simmons, author of "I'm Your Man: The Life of Leonard Cohen," in an appearance with the Conspiracy of Beards, the fedora-wearing, all-male choir from San Francisco that performs a cappella arrangements of Cohen songs. And all of them should be aware of a brand-new publication, "Leonard Cohen on Leonard Cohen" (Chicago Review Press, $29.95, 569 pages), a compilation of "Interviews and Encounters" edited by Jeff Burger. Tickets to the program, at 57 Post St., are $10-$20, available at www.milibrary.org.
