This lady from Verona

Post by Pete »

The lady from Verona
spies my activity
She fans the flames
of my hunger
My appetite
erupts into a desire
to bequeath
what I have withheld
This lady from Verona
demands the verse
that is mine
I oblige
I gladly oblige
for that is the option
that I choose for her

Very passionate, Pete. I like it very much. Will you be traveling to Verona? :) The name certainly lends itself beautifully to poetry.

The View I Have Felt Before...

Post by poeticasylum82 »

This poem reminds me of the few people that have taken me to other worlds without even knowing them. Certain people strike me without words for their looks, style, and approach to life. Pete, thank you for reminding me of what I have not felt in a while.

That's so true, Poeticasylum, the people who transport you, as you watch them from behind those proverbial Foster Grants.....

Hi pete,
the Lady of Verona just feels embarrassed
for that beautiful poem
...those selected words sound like music...
...those selected words got through herself as a huge wave...

thank you Sir of England

Hi Andrea,
Hope you don't mind me posting your poem..too late now anyway
Hi everyone else
I have been advised, by some, not to set the scene for a poem but I tend to disagree.
I didn't set the scene for this one but in retrospect I will say that it all started in the chatroom 2 years ago..........

and that is all I am saying. :) (don't blush Andrea..... ...too late)

Hi pete,
no problem that you have posted it.
Indeed it's a long time that this poem exits and I still enjoy it as much as the first time I read it.
I prefer keeping the blush
and knowing that there are so nice people on the other side of the channel.
:D
greetings from verona
