Passing Through?? Wow ... they finally played it.

I guess there's still hope for "One of Us Cannot Be Wrong" to turn up in an encore :-)

Now ... I'm nowhere near Vegas, and won't be going to any of the swanky fan celebrations after the concert concludes (which must be about now-ish by my reckoning).

BUT ... I certainly will be doing something special to celebrate the momentous occasion of the tour coming to a close. I don't want to clog up this thread: but those interested in how the Great Event will be celebrated in Adelaide, Australia ... feel free to look at: http://lcdownunder2010.wordpress.com/20 ... s-flowing/. The URL title might give you the idea :-)

Hopefully there are other forum folk around the world, similarly deprived of being able to travel to LV, that will be holding their own Post-Tour celebrations -- why not post about it somewhere here on the forum?!

Doh ... looks like Joey was teasing us a little with his photo caption.

Over on the setlist thread MidnightChoir37 posted the true story:
(During the set break, a lot of fans sang "Passing Through" - and when Leonard Cohen took the stage for the second set, he sang one line of it before starting "Tower Of Song")
[and yes, I am going to stop posting now and leave some space for the people who were actually *at* the concert to write wonderful things]

I was there tonight and I thought it was really memorable, came a long way for it but it was worth it to me, and I nabbed a set list too which I will treasure.

Will be interested to see what others post on it.

I thought the atmosphere was very unique, audience a mix of muted and wildly enthusiastic at the same time. There was really spontaneous ovations all the way through endlessly.

Setlist was standard, Mr Cohen was smiling an awful lot throughout and there was a fair bit of larking about I think going on there on the stage, but very serious renditions of a number of the songs, like Hallelujah and Chelsea Hotel and everyone seemed to be in top form to me.

Notable moment was the lady who got right up on the stage at the end of part one, as there are steps at the front and gave him a bit of a hug as I recall, he was smiling away but I don't think Joey or security were at all amused.

And then as reported, Forum members were singing Passing Through in the latter part of the interval and when he came back on so he just sung a few words of it before going into Tower of Song.

And it was very nice at the end when a lot of the crew came onto the stage in a long line, as in Joey's photos.

It started late, about 8.15 I think and ended about 12.15. No references to the unmagical Las Vegas on night two. Of course there were various references to the end of the tour and a chapter ending.

All the best to everyone on the Forum, thanks to Jarkko for putting up all the pre-sale information so a new fan like me has been able to get some wonderful seats, expecially this year.

P.S there are 4 mp3 for Dec 10th concert here at http://www.hopelessbleakdespair.com/?p=1033 No idea about quality, not listened to them yet.
