Time to Say Thank You

Dear Friends,

As much as we'd love for Leonard's tour to go on and on, we know the 2008-2010 World Tour will be coming to an end on December 12. This won't be goodbye. Leonard will be working to produce some new material for us and who knows, perhaps we will have a chance to witness the magic of a Leonard Cohen concert again. But before this tour ends, we have an opportunity to say thank you.

Thank you Marie....so much! Of course I'll be adding my comments, but on behalf of thousands of us, I want to thank you from deep within my heart for all YOU have contributed. As a moderator, of course...but most of all for "Speaking Cohen". I can be lost in your site for hours! What a wealth of information you have freely provided us, and shared with us through our common love of Leonard....his music, poetry, prose!

Your links for us to be able to share our feelings with not only Leonard, but each band member, is very unique in the musical scene that exists today.

We will never see the likes of the Unified Heart Touring Company again....let's let them (and Leonard!) know how appreciated and loved they are!!!

Marie I thank you for the time and effort you have made designing the beautiful cards for us to sign. As a group that will be so powerful!
The photos you chose are especially touching and made me smile..
I started to write several times and had to stop as there is so much to say but I want to keep it simple and zenlike. The right time will come and I will know exactly what to say for each of them and especially Leonard.
We don't know what will happen in the future but in this moment I am so happy to have become part of this wonderful family.
Marie I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your friendship and for your words and devotion to Leonard and his music.

Thanks, Inna, Diana and Leslie, for your kind words. I am so happy that you like this idea. Leonard and his band have shared so much of themselves with us at each concert. The only gift I can think of to match that emotion is to simply tell them what their sharing has meant to us.

And Leslie, the colored fonts are especially nice, aren't they. Feel free to color-up your notes. Also, you can go back at any time and edit your notes, add or change photos, change the font color, etc. And especially, go back periodically and read what others have written. I already teared up once.

Avi, I would love that. I would love several extra bags with overflowing pages of love for Leonard and the band.

Today, we passed the 200 mark in signatures thanking Leonard and nearly 70 pages. Some beautiful thoughts expressed by Cohen fans far and wide. Thank you to those who have signed. Deadline is November 22.
