Hi All,

I'm a newbie, and I just want to make sure I understand the "rules" correctly. Will Fan Club Presale Tickets for the Las Vegas concert be available for anyone who joined this community, today at 10:00 AM PDT, or did I miss anything? (Like, do you have to be a member for a while in order to buy these tickets?)

Thanks,
Halleluja!
Miriam

Leonard Cohen To End World Tour With 4 U.S. Shows (9/7/10)

Leonard Cohen To End World Tour With 4 U.S. Shows

Reuters

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Leonard Cohen's neverending world tour will actually end in December with four newly announced theater shows in the western United States, his promoter said on Tuesday.

The tireless Canadian folk poet emerged from a 15-year semi-retirement in May 2008 to crisscross large arenas around the world, and will have played more than 240 shows by the time he hangs up his fedora after a two-night stand in Las Vegas on December 10 and 11.

Cohen, who turns 76 later this month, plans to return to the studio next year to record his first album of new material since 2004's "Dear Heather," taking him off the road "for some time," promoter AEG Live said in a statement. He is known to take years to craft a single song.

The final four shows will kick off at Honolulu's Blaisdell Concert Hall on December 4. Cohen will play the Rose Quarter Theater of the Clouds in Portland, Ore., on December 8, and then head to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

They will mark his first U.S. concerts since last November. He is currently touring Europe again after being laid low by a bad back during the first half of the year. He will return to New Zealand and Australia in October and November, and will finish up in Cambodia on November 27 before traveling to Hawaii.

Tickets for the four U.S. shows will go on sale on September 24, AEG Live said.

No you can still get $89/night at other Harrah's hotels. Caesars is generally more expensive. Personally Planet Hollywood is a better rate. I would avoid Imperial Palace and Flamingo. The Rio is off Strip but served by a free shuttle bus to Harrah's, so that is an excellent value for money option.
If budget is the consideration, but you also want a decent hotel the Rio is the best option. If budget is more constrained then you should look at Circus Circus (yuck), Riveria, Sahara, Stratosphere. They epitomize cheap and cheerful, but take care of the basic needs.

There is no rush to actually book hotels. December is pretty quiet in Vegas, so hotel rooms won't sell-out or inflate in price. There is plenty of time to shop around and get the best rates. This site is pretty good to find the best hotel deals http://www.broadwaybox.com/lasvegas/
If you need advice I live in Vegas and pretty much know every casino/hotel.

I checked the presales. In Portland they offered seats 9-10 in row 1, and for the 2nd Las Vegas first row (BB in this section) in FORCH2 (Front Orchestra).

Wow! I'm not even joking when I say I'm getting emotional. I've loved Leonard Cohen for a long time and wondered if I'd ever get the chance. Making a solo journey to Portland and got a seat in the first row on the floor seat #26. Someone tell me how wonderful this is going to be because I want to bask in it for awhile. A HUGE thank you to Jarkko and the other contributors to this forum... it has been a great help!!

Hi there,

I just got for the second Vegas: section FORCH6, row CC, seats 602-603. What does "CC" mean?

The first time I tried (at 8:00), I got tickets for 99$, even though I selected "any price" and "best available". Why is that? This is why I missed the best seats...

Please tell me ASAP, is it better to have seats in the front rows in the side (6) or in the FF row in the middle (3)?

Thanks,

Miriam

Hi Miriam,

CC is the third row!

See you there :D

I see - it's the same as section 2; even better or Miriam ;-)
