I particularly like the first pictures. I certainly think you have talent. I only wish that I could draw as well.
You say that you can only paint from a picture but many portrait painters do that these days. We were at Montmartre in the artist quarter in April and I saw many painting dogs, cats and children from photos. My sister recently comissioned a portrait of my mum's dog for a xmas present to her ; from a photo, how else could they do it when the dog wouldn't keep still; so don't under value your talent!

This last one is great! My favorites so far are your very first one and this last one. There is a big age gap between them, but you make his personality shine through in both of them.

I agree with you it's my favorite too.
I'm happy because I can see the progression between the drawings I made 3 years ago and this last one, I'm making progress!
