Oh, this neglect of earlier postings may appear like a mass phenomenon with the Israeli guys, but it may just be due to the fact that 30 000 tickets got sold through what appears a rather hectic and inefficient system within only two days; apart from that, the RTFM - advice could easily go to several other members of the forum right now - non-Israelis, mind you; I could spontaneously name at least three or four examples... But I won't... ;-)

No one is forcing you to answer people's requests/questions (others are doing it happily without feeling the tiniest need to complain). You know what- no one even forces you to read the thread.

I am personally touched by your objectivity and sincerity regarding Israel and Israelis. You are being a true example of tolerance, patience and compassion - values our hero Leonard cares for so much. Thank you for this.

Congratulations to those of you who have managed to get tickets in what must indeed have been a mad rush - sold out after hardly 24 hours! Well done - and probably the best way to shut up the critics! Enjoy what is no doubt going to be a historic concert... 8)

I think that the phenom speed of "sold out" shouts THANKS loud and clear. Patient Saint Jarkko, Marie and all the Mods would be especially heartened by this for Leonard's sake. What is most important in all of this, is that Leonard would hear about this immediately. LC is the focus in all of this. That's why we all belong to this wonderful Forum.

Just to clarify for those of you who might not be up to speed on the details:
The pre-sale proved to be essential since all 47,000 tickets sold in about 17 hours once the public sale started. The stadium is sold out.

Thank you Leonard for choosing to play in Israel. I'm very happy for those who will get to attend that concert, now let's see what the August 5 pre-sale will yield for me...

Well, I have to agree. They present disregard for other Forum members, not bothering to read any previous postings, but demanding answer to their password question over and over again.
I'm a bit confused here - both of you don't seem to be interested in coming to Israel (hopefully!...) for the concert, yet you so eagerly read all the comments on that Tel Aviv pre-sale thread?

Is this a habit of yours? - to read about pre-sales for concerts in places you have no intention attend? Or is it the word "Israel" that brings out all the rudest behavior in you?

Is creating this thread with its misleading title is what you consider well behaving? Did Jarkko appoint you to be his spokesmen’s? And who exactly appointed you to be the guardian of good behavior?

So please, spare us your lectures and go and spread your hatred somewhere else - we have a concert to attend to, thank you very much!

p.s. Thanks to all the nice people around here, who make this forum bearable even for outcast Israelis... :)

Actually, mirka (who is an esteemed member of this forum) was planning a trip to Israel at some point (viewtopic.php?f=35&t=14543) which is why it was particularly painful to see her post her. I hope it was just passing irritation...

Well, I'm not a Saint, I'm polite and helpful towards people who --if they don't know good manners-- show at least a tiny bit of good will.
Israeli fans who raided the Forum didn't show neither any kind of manners, nor any appreciation for people who made the pre-sale possible.
They kept littering the Forum, not bothering to read previous postings, and didn't post even one single 'thank you' for repeated answers to their password demands (I happened to be on-line and see all this in real time, even tried to help posting directions for the password).

They seem to forget that they are owed nothing here, and whatever information they got is just b/c of a good will, time, and money of people who maintain this Forum since many years.

Maybe in somebody's book this qualifies as acceptable manners, not in mine.
What's even more ironic is that by their response to Rodin remark they proved he was right

ps.
Womanfromaroom, congrats on joining the ill-mannered group in 'shutting' up the critics'.
I can see the dawn of new etiquette coming to the Forum ....

Indeed, your vocabulary seems very polite and tolerant: “they raided the forum, they kept littering…” and of course ignoring the thank you posts altogether…
And even after all of your harsh remarks, you claim that people are shutting you up. Such a double standard you have. I thought about quoting “follow me, the wise man said, but he walked behind” - but on second thought, I don’t see anything wise here…

They say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” - I guess so is ugliness. You choose to see what you want to see. I hope you’re happy with making lots of people very unhappy…

And I was under the impression that at least among avid fans of Leonard Cohen I’d find some real tolerance, acceptance and understanding. How very sad that even here there’s so much hatred. :(
