Jack, you are soooo far out of your depth. You may have many wonderful qualities but you just can't write or banter.Have you considered backing out with grace (and if she is still in the bathroom, try backing out with Charlie, that should give you a buzz)?

there is the most wonderful passage in Catch 22, in the chapter headed "The Eternal City" where the ambiguous cry of "help, police" is heard. I haven't read it for a while but my son has the great fortune to have it as a main part of his B.A. in English
