Interesting version of Bird on a Wire. Willie Nelson, though, always manages to make everything sound so noble (I had been racking my brains for a while for the right word for him).

A few years ago when I was living in NY, me and a friend were strolling along Central Park minding our own business when we found ourselves right in the middle of an Aaron Neville concert. He was doing a free concert and it seemed the entire city had showed up. He's done a few LC covers....here's Song of Bernadette with Linda Ronstadt (I'd have preferred more Aaron and less Linda but she's OK)

Yeah absolutely!! I hadnt heard this one until now. He also sings Ain't no Cure for Love in the Tower of Song compilation which is good but nothing like Bird on a Wire i think.

Nice to see your posts popping up here and there recently. I am doing just fine keeping my head above water and staying out of trouble (on the forum atleast!).
Yeah I saw Neville Brothers couple of times in NOJazzFest (the traditional 'festival closer'). I just read somewhere the other day that he is planning now to move back to NO or somewhere close, since Katrina happened. Hope you are doing well too. Cheers.

Very fine version of Song of Bernadette, Kush. I think I would have preferred AN singing the whole thing, cos Linda R sounds similar to Jennifer Warnes, only not quite as good, but it's lovely to hear that song, anyhow. (Thought I'd seen the name Aaron Neville somewhere before and you solved the mystery - Ain't No Cure.) Bird On is getting better with each listen, too (the song gains from his warbling style).
