No credit to me. I am but a consumer. It was an excellent TV series. Second season in Jan I think.Georges wrote:Lord M,

Georges,
I think I'm going with my uglued theme... did you mean you, me and the Lord should -- or is he more of a voyeur in this? I'm so sorry to hear of his disfunction in any case.
love to all,
vi-o-let xx
much later edit: here I am again.. continuing with my stroll down memory lane.. I have this habit (as some of you may have noticed) of making extraneous asides, and sometime (usually later on, it seems).. these can start to bug me.. so.. snip snip on this post too.. (preserving the essential elements though)..

Violet,
If you don't mind, I think glued would be more intimate. As for Lord M, the choice to watch is his and his alone. Cate, we could all have a drink together, reminds me of Caligula and please invite Manna. As young Mr Burns would say...........excellent.
Georges.

Sorry Cate,
Can't blame a guy for trying, I will just have to cry into the ground and hope a winged horse appears, to carry me away forever.

For V
edited to remove unfinished poems that were just visitingA Decade
When you came, you were like red wine and honey,
And the taste of you burnt my mouth with its sweetness.
Now you are like morning bread,
Smooth and pleasant.
I hardly taste you at all, for I know your savor,
But I am completely nourished.

I don't know Cate, I'm sort of liking your poem the way it is... I will check in with this later, I don't have time at present... really just checking in to see how the orgy is progressing, I guess... let's see, I'm entirely under the thumb of one prominent -- dare I say member around here, and now there's this mysterious Georges... the name itself has me thinking of Bataille for some reason, and that can't be good...
v.
I rarely use these, but this is a light bulb moment -- Bataille's Christian name is... why Georges, of course...
much later edit: here I am yet again.. on my little journey into past thread-dom.. actually, Cate removed her poem.. As to the poem that is posted, Cate and I had discussed this via pm's at some point.. and though I really haven't read much of her yet, this Amy Lowell poem is not at all my cup of tea.. it has me running to Emily Dickinson actually.. a woman poet I'm far more interested in..

Eve
Past the rustling of the shy and naked Eve
Into the nests of branches, where the beautiful fruits managed to leave
Realisations and the torments of the scolded innocent child
Into the legions of the damned and the wanderings, of the beguiled
Cast down to Earth from the heavens and safety of the eternal life
Forced into companionship and the sexual needs of the bride of a wife
Buried after death in the furrowed fields, of the unsure and the unknown
Just when you thought your wisdom had expanded, it had overgrown
Looking for the secret path, that will lead you to the kingdom again
Your ideas are mutated and twisted, as you created religion out of flooded rain
Feel the anger and the betrayal and feel the isolation, the mortality and the pain
Murderous thoughts were released in the bloodied brood, of the Abel and the Cain
Searching for the Golden Fleece, in the hope of some atonement
You persued your desires, with obsession and the ultimate act of postponement
Tongued your passions, with the Babeled acts of the vile and the unspoken
Always sullying your purity in the magick of the circle that was broken
Look at the hourglass shape of infinity and the curved shape of Eve
You lost your innonence and you lost your reason and motivation to believe
Simple ideologies that were expanded in the depths of time and known space
As you once again remembered the moment, you saw the beauty of her face
Georges.
Violet, funny you should mention Batallie. I wrote this poem last night after our exchanges.

Re: An October Proposal (language warning - moon)
Hi Cate. This is just another love poem
of the standard variety,
in which I whisper words of love and longing.
I will tell you how my body
was made to move with yours;
how muscles remember
even from a bed 200 miles away.
Of how I can taste the words from your tongue.
How I still wake at night, thirst
to be lost again in that sweet spot
and the smell of almonds in your hair.
This will be the poem I write for you,
I just need to think of the right words.
Then you will tell me that you like it,
that you feel good when we are together
and that we are still beautiful,
before you kiss me softly on the head.
The first stanza is coming along, but the second doesn't seem quite as appealing.
I don't know if I would have had this idea without the epitaph thread, and it may be cliche-ish, but what about starting with:
Here lies another love poem...
Re: An October Proposal (language warning - moon)
Georges, I have to read your interesting poem again when I'm not so flustered... your last comment has got me all "tingly" somehow... v.xx (don't tell you know who...)

V,
I am glad you are tingly, it's hard to keep things from the gaze of the Lord, just like Adam and Eve, fancy some knowledge??????
A not so innocent Georges.
