Re: ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHOW ON SALE
Has anyone got a link to the RAH seating plan when the Arena has seats? I have been offered one in Block B on the Floor (i.e. Arena) but have no idea if that is good or not. The tiny seating plan I have found on the RAH website doesn't include information on the Arena.
Wow, am I glad I didn't book for the O2.

Thanks for telling us about that. Never thought I'd say I'd seen him live, then this year has just turned out to be unbelievable! Thanks Leonard

Thanks for the link John! I just got some nice tickets for Tuesday.
Thank You. I never thought I'd be lucky enough to get to another concert.
Thanks Maarten for those seating plan links, it made my decision a lot easier.

Re: ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHOW ON SALE
Curiouser and curiouser. At See-Tickets I haven't seen a single ticket on offer in the Stalls on either night. Top-price tickets on offer are only Block B in the Arena, which Ticket-Monkey says are poor value for money ... and then the other ticket-prices jump straight to the inferior Second Tier Boxes or Circle.
I think the Stalls near the stage are some of the best seats at the RAH, because you have the benefit of a rake (important for a small guy like me). But has anyone seen a Stall seat on sale? My suspicion is that they are being held back.

Re: ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHOW ON SALE
There are many excellent images of RAH seating plan online - just Google "Royal Albert Hall seating plan" and you get a choice of good quality colour images of the seating.
But more interesting are the descriptions of which seats are best, also easy to find on Google by typing 'reviews'.
E.g. there's one on Tripadvisor at http://www.visitlondon.com/attractions/detail/58843
(quoting)
"There is a very helpful seating plan on the Hall's website that you should consult before buying tickets. Because the Hall is so large and is circular in shape, the seats that face the stage directly are very far from the stage. All of the seats in the upper balcony (called the circle) are also very far from the stage. So if you buy seats facing the stage or anywhere in the circle, make sure to bring binoculars. The main floor (called the arena) does not slope toward the stage, so seats there do not have a good view and should be avoided. The best seats are in the stalls (which are above the arena floor), on the sides of the stage. The side seats in the stalls swivel so the strain is not bad on your neck or back."
So STALLS definitely better than ARENA. (I can confirm this from previous experience watching Leonard at RAH 15 years ago, when he was just a .... but you know the rest).
Hope that helps!

Re: ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHOW ON SALE
Was just checking a little bit, even if I finally decided not to fly to London...
If you buy the tickets directly at the RAH website, you can get STALL tickets near the stage, you pay less fees... so highly recommended.

Re: ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHOW ON SALE
The Stalls at the Albert hall are great, in my opinion. In particular, Sections G, H, M and O, which are closer to the stage. If you are small, on account of the rake, you get to see over the heads of people in front of you, unlike in the Arena (the Floor). There are definitely stalls tickets available now at the official Albert hall website: http://tickets.royalalberthall.com/seas ... ar=11-2008 so take care, and good luck!

Re: ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHOW ON SALE
I think I'd be pretty annoyed if I'd spent my money on the O2 when I could have gone to the Royal Albert Hall. Seems a little unfair to announce it later.

Re: ROYAL ALBERT HALL SHOW ON SALE
Well I saw the Everly Brothers at the RAH a couple of years back and from the chairs in the Arena, and I was about 8 rows back and the view and the sound were fine. If your seats are for example in block B or E row 16 (they meet in the middle) that means 16 rows back from the front which is hardly a massive distance. We know Leonard and his people will make sure the sound is fine at the RAH too so I don't think you really need to worry.
