Re: Addiction
I have several black widows living under my trailer here. I still have several black widows living under my trailer here.
My neighbors call me crazy.

Re: Addiction
What type of black widow are you referring to?
My father died when I was quite young. Mom thought I wrote the poem about her.
If you have several widows of the human kind under your trailer, your neighbors may be right.(joke)

Nope, these are the real thing. I used to smoke at night in a chair leaning up against the trailer. One night I dropped my reading glasses (which I store on top of my head when away from the computer), went and got the flashlight to find them. Not 8 inches from where my arm would rest on the chair was this enormous black widow - and the flashlight made it that much cooler because she cast a shadow about 10 incher wide on the concrete below. No ceilings out there fortunately, so no roof repair was necessary. I just had to climb back down from the tree.jillian0108 wrote:What type of black widow are you referring to?

Suffice it to say I get exercise now by walking around when I smoke after dark.
I did kill that one (I must admit - at least I think she's gone but I didn't watch after spraying her with the spider stuff), but her babies are having a ball under there now, webs all over the place. We all co-exist now.
My neighbors call me crazy, but honestly? I'm just plain lazy. :-)

Gillian,
Like your poem very much of the femme fatale psyche. Almost like the experiment today, when particles will collide of complete opposites, yet will merge into the abyss of infinity. I have always been interested in duality and the attraction thereof. There is also a dark feel to your poem which makes it very sinister but the end result is the union and back to the source. Keep writing, I enjoyed this.
Georges.

Sounds like a good way to "go" for a man who wants to be a victim. She ravishes him
while he dreams.

Jillian,
Ahh, latrodectism (never said that word before nor enjoyed it, personally).
Of a spider web, there's also "So Long Marianne," where the lyrics say,"I'm
standing on a ledge and your fine spider web is fastening my ankle to a stone."
