Thanks for posting all the great pictures-I've loved looking at them! It seems like you were all having a great time-not surprising in any way with the great company and music. Anne & I sure wish we could have been there, too.

Happy Holidays to all of you!

Big thanks to everybody who made the Verona trip such a success.

To Andrea, Marco and Luca for their wonderful hospitality.

To Paola for trying to convince me that cats do indeed have a reason for being on this earth.

To Tom for his exhaustive mine of LC information and of course his big smile.
It will a while before I shall forget standing on platform 7 of Venice’s Santa Lucia train station on a very cold and at a god forsaken early hour waiting for Tom on the overnight train from Zagreb.

To Kertsin, Elke and Henning for their wonderful company.

And a second thank you to Kerstin and Henning for their performance on Saturday night.
I doubt if Henning will take up my suggestion of naming Kirsten and himself ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for their future performances.

To Flavio for organising the concert.

To Veronica Marchi, despite her not feeling well, and her guests for a great evening.

The only disappointment of the trip for me was late one night in Venice whilst chugging slowing up the Grand Canal back to my hotel when Tony Blair’s deputy prime minister John Prescot and his wife boarded the vaporetto and stood alongside me. The people you meet when you haven’t got a stocking full of shite handy – as we say in Liverpool.
