Time and Mirror

Postby Steven » Thu May 23, 2013 7:50 pm

Which songs have mirrored, by way of content and/or mood, your own life experience for the
longest periods of time? If new to Leonard Cohen music, of the songs you are familiar with, which songs
do you imagine will be with you for long periods of time as a mirror of your own experience?

Hi John,

Your reply put a smile on my face. What a wonderful thing for a song to accompany (and maybe support) the waiting.

Well, as to content, I might have to say "Heart with No Companion." But as to mood... can I just move into "Born In Chains" and stay there forever?

"Dance Me to the End of Love'. I know what everyone says are the origins of this song, but for me it is a song about the deepest everlasting love and the art of making love.
