Just spotted this in my Love Film (DVD online hiring service) as a new release as from next Monday (26th July). Anyone know about this? Purports to "shed new light on the life & career......"

It ia an unofficial thing, not approved by LC or his record company/management Leonard Cohen's Lonesome Heroes

Gave it a view last night as it happens, found it pretty good myself.

It is a 10 people talking of key influences on LC work (quite a lot including Lorca, country music, Canadian poets, Dylan, French chansons, Buddhism, Judaism etc etc etc ) and how this can be seen in his work - as they see it of course. Plus a bit of a commentary and a few little snippets of him talking, singing etc etc but that is just padding really.

They get different amounts of time Ira Nadel, Stephen Scobie and Nigel Williamson possibly get most time here.

Possibly one to hire rather than buy.

A friend of mine saw it and said it was pretty good, for one of those unofficial DVDs. But I've not been able to bring myself to watch one, feels a bit wrong...
